Shanahan's Horseshoe Posted January 22, 2023 Posted January 22, 2023 Stop looking around for players and coaches to blame. The last 4 drafts haven’t given this team a single star. A couple decent role players like Oliver, Rousseau, Knox, Singletary and Dane and that’s about it. Brutal misses like AJ, Boogie, Moss and Ford. The most egregious being the OL and DL. So when Josh plays bad, this team is not good because Beane has done an awful job in 1-3 rounds the last 4 years. 6 2 1 1 18 2 6 Quote
DCOrange Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 The two positions we’ve invested in the most the last few years is DL and RB and well…we may need to invest in DL some more. 1 1 Quote
Einstein Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 I mentioned this another thread too, but Beane has done a solid job of stocking the team with “good” players. But very very very few “elite” players. We have no Bosa’s, or Watts, or Chris Jones etc. And he doesn’t seem to want to give up draft assets to acquire an elite asset like McAffrey. 1 10 Quote
TheFunPolice Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 This is something that needs attention. Our rookies cannot get a jersey on game day at positions of serious need. Cook was a non factor almost all season. Elam barely dressed. His never ending 1st and 2nd round DL are invisible. 8 1 Quote

This years might be the worst. Like you said, other than Shakir, we didn’t have a single rookie make a difference today and most of the year. Everyone wants to crown Cook but he’ll never be a 3 down back. He is the softest runner I’ve ever seen. And LOL at Bernard. That pick was bizarre. 3 1 Quote
Southern_Bills Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 (edited) I don't see this changing without a regime change. Beane and McDermott have made it clear this is the type of team they want, and it clearly doesn't work. Take a chance on some low character guys, manage them correctly. Tulsabillsfanz Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 We really haven’t done well in the draft the last few years. We have had to rely on free agents to plug too many holes. Drafting late in each round is obviously a factor, but our first & second round picks in the last few drafts are not performing up to their draft slots. 1 2 Quote
Mynamemike Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 Call me crazy but I could see Pegula firing Beane and keeping McDermott. Sean was here before Brandon and Beane hasn’t been all that great with the picks he’s used on the defensive side of the ball. We went all in with the Von contract and that is gonna hurt us next year. Beane and Frazier out. Dorsey stays imo especially if we lose Joe Brady. McDermott is too close and has done too much for Terry to can him, for better or for worse. 1 1 1 Quote

78thealltimegreat Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 (edited) That is not a misprint WGR did some research and found the last Bills player drafted to make a pro bowl is Wyatt Teller who as we all know isn’t here right now. Brandon Beane your draft picks got exposed today. Edited January 23, 2023 by 78thealltimegreat 1 2 1 1 Quote
