dakrider Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 Bills were dominated on both the offensive and defensive lines and not much you can do to compensate for that. Von Miller would not have made much difference in this game either. Josh was not sharp today, was not feeling the rush and not making some key throws. Even though a interception at the end, turnovers had no impact on the game so can't blame that. Defensive backfield was leaving guys the most wide open I've seen all year. Easy to lay blame on the defense but the Bills offense scoring 1 TD was the story of the game. If anything Bills had to be ready for a shootout and instead they brought a dull knife to a gun fight. I credit Bengals, they played their game and weren't fazed by the weather or the fans or the Bills. 1 Quote

The D has been missing guys and playing injured all year. It’s clearly had an effect. It sure has. But at the end of the day, if we don't have the players to run the D that McD wants to, then they need to adjust and try something. They just seem so stubborn with their defensive approach. Almost arrogantly so. Quote

The ball was there to make a play and it was dropped. Would it make you feel better if he threw it 3 yards and it was dropped? Keep thinking that’s a recipe for success. It failed us last week but we skated by, today it cost us. Keep the loser mentality 👍 look at success rates, your plan is terrible and was proven so today. Quote

At least we will be back in the nobody talks about us mode next season Yeah look at tonight’s NFC game: two OC head coaches but the defenses are both playing nasty right now. Hiring a DC to run your team just isn’t the way to go in this league, and that’s only magnified when you have a talented QB who’s floundering cuz we have no one that can coach him up. Quote

BigAl2526 Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 Cincinnati dominated the line of scrimmage on both offense and defense. Moreover, Cincinnati did it with mostly backups on the offensive line. They have to fix it if they want to take the next step. Quote

Almost arrogantly so. The refusal (or inability) to adjust infuriates me. Hearing Frazier say they’ll continue to do what got them here was deflating during the week because we all knew exactly what that meant. 1 Quote

I think it would’ve went a long way in preparing for them in the playoffs. And yet not playing the Bills didn’t seem to bother the Bengals so much. I think the Bills offense would have been better than today had the game at the Jungle played out. The defense? No. Edited January 23, 2023 by UKBillFan 2 Quote

Would Dorsey have developed an effective screen game? Not much different, the oline is the issue, those players would help but not guarantee success. 1 Quote

Tell that to Belichick. You need good coaches on both sides of the ball. It doesn't matter with OC or DC for coach. Quote

bills11 Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 Im seeing disturbing similarities to the 2000s Colts and that's not a great thing. Conservative coach running a zone based scheme that get's gashed in the playoffs..all time great qb that the team is super over reliant on . Getting dominated at the line of scrimmage. In don't know if coach is the right man for the Job he's done alot and he will always be revered in this city but we just havent gotten it done defensively which is supposed to be his area of strength and we are squandering the best QB in franchise history if no changes are made .
