Should have went straight there when he walked off after the third down fail. Wouldn’t have even seen the field goal cause he’d be in there getting wrapped and the shot. Now his absence might effect multiple drives  instead of just this one.

A high ankle sprain doesn't work its way out like sometimes happens if you roll it the other way. The pain remains. He probably went for x-rays. He, Mahomes, knows it's bad and that's why he was so passed.

50/50 he returns...high ankle sprains, which is what it looked like, are not the type of injury that many players return for in 1-2 weeks, let alone same.game.

Mahomes is moving on adrenaline. If he has something broken or a high ankle sprain they have to decide if they need him to win this game but are sacrificing having him for the next one.

Lance was carted off. Mahomes running to the locker room didn’t look like a broken ankle to me
