Almost Famous

The Big Chill

Saturday Night Fever

Thank you! I was shocked at how long it took for The Big Chill to come up. Best ever, IMO. Great years of my life and I lived near (and often worked in) Beaufort, SC where it was filmed, so I may have been influenced?

Would the Last Waltz count? Has that been mentioned?

Probably the only soundtrack that I ever put in heavy rotation. All the songs were new to me at the time so it wasn't just a collection of great songs I already knew.

Dooby doo ***** ***** say what yeah.

We've got nothing better to do. Than watch TV and have a couple of brews.

That soundtrack is epic! And the movie is a must see. "The more you drive, the less intelligent you are."

Far, far too many to list.

A few of my favorites off the top of my head:

Apocalypse Now (with creepy synthesized music composed by Francis Ford Coppola himself, and his dad!)

Bladerunner (the score from Vangelis makes the movie what it is)

Star Wars and sequels (Can't imagine this franchise without John Williams' masterpiece)

Gladiator (Hans Zimmer is one of the better guys out there currently writing cinematic music)

The Godfather (the music from Nino Rota has become a part of American culture)

The Mission (Ennio Morricone is one of the all time greats)

So many already mentioned and way too many to remember.

Borat, anything John Williams, Muppet Movie,  Smokey and the Bandit, Bad News Bears, Fubar Balls to the Wall, Singles, Pink Panther, Wizard of Oz, Wrath of Khan, Trainspotting and Nacho Libre off the top of my head.

Best Little *****house in Texas

Reminds me of something that happened in the 80's. Was living in Texas, girlfriend's mother took us to see this play. Her credit card bill that month said "Whorehouse - $90"

I'll add the soundtrack from the movie Prefontaine to those already mentioned.
