I don't miss those days. He was a trainwreck as head coach, though he did have his moments as OC in Buffalo and Jacksonville. The biggest knock on him was that he never seemed to be able to sustain the success that he had. Hitching his wagon to a bad coach like Doug Marrone doesn’t help. Not sure if he has ever lived up to his billing as the offensive “genius.” If his main task is going to be to save Zach Wilson…he’s not the man for the job Quote
ExiledInIllinois Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 Ain't scared. LoL... In the history of the AFCeast, the Division Champs go as followed: NE* 22 BFLo 13 MIA 13 NYJ 6 Quote
Ethan in Cleveland Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 Do the Broncos get some sort of compensation? He has to be in some protected class for nepotism and below average intelligence. 1 Quote
msw2112 Posted January 18, 2023 Author Posted January 18, 2023 I see three reasons for the Jests to hire Hackett: 1. He's related to Paul Hackett 2. He's experienced 3. Most importantly, he's available Quote
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 Can I write a letter of recommendation? 2 Quote
dpberr Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 I guess Juan Castillo's agent has welcomed Nate Hackett aboard! I'm convinced some coaches simply get jobs because they spend good money on effective agents. Quote
LABILLBACKER Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 The Jesters can't possibly be this stupid....could they? Quote

A A Ron won me a Fantasy Championship, and took me too two more Super Bowls, and he is a shell of that guy. Please, oh please, hire Hackett, and watch that team disintegrate. Quote

Perry Turtle Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 Jets might want to check this again; they might have actually hired him without realizing it. Quote

He has done absolutely nothing to warrant this interview. Nothing. He was terrible in Buffalo, Jacksonville AND Denver. The only time his offense was decent is when he had Aaron Rodgers telling him what to do. BUT he's somebody who grew up related to somebody who knew a lot of somebodies and now he's a guy who has worked a lot of places himself so he knows a lot of people so these opportunities will keep following him around. Absolutely. That being said.....Git 'er dun Douglas!!! Quote

Bad Things Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 If he doesn't get this gig, I wonder if he'll go back to neurobiology. Remember all that talk when he first got here? "Wow, he went to school for neurobiology. He must be a genius!" Looks like he picked the wrong career path. Quote
Rocky Landing Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 I think he'd be a good fit for the Patriots*... Quote
ngbills Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 Hire Hackett and sign Peterman. Oh that would be so great. 1 Quote
