It's pretty standard stuff.  It's obviously entertainment.

 

Of course it is.  There is so many sports shows that the material is so diluted they have to do things to "keep peoples attention".

It's why we have "clickbait".

Having everyone "pick" the winner helps with the gambling too.  Everyone's an expert.

I can care less about this stuff and probably shouldn't have even posted, but it's so unimportant.

Not really.  The Dolphins were very fortunate to be in the game at all.  We dominated them to the tune of a +200 yardage advantage.

 

The Bengals, on the other hand, were actually dominated by the Ravens who outgained them by 130 yards (second straight week that the Bengals failed to clear the 300 total yard mark).

we were still fortunate to win against an inferior opponent regardless of the stats. Dolphins had ball at midfield down by 3

My point is that it took a fluke-like performance (multiple turnovers, drops and special teams gaffes) to keep Miami in that game.  The Bills dominated the line of scrimmage and were clearly the superior team.  The Bengals game was essentially the opposite, with Cincy in the Miami role and just having enough juice to take advantage of the Ravens' errors.  Cincy was fortunate that the Ravens handed them the game in the 4th quarter.

Good slot receiver, but I wouldn't call him elite.

Neither is CBS's entire non-football lineup (for example).   You see those commercials for their shows during the games and wonder: who is watching this stuff??

Sure, you can make a case for them to win but that is the prevailing thought.  The Bills are clearly the better team, almost all advanced stats, the record and the fact that we have Josh Allen and they don't dictate that we should win, hence the oddsmakers making this a 5.5 spread.
