How are tickets ‘clawed back’?

I presume they use computers and that the software isn’t overly sophisticated and that they were the exclusive seller at 10am.
I mean, there’s been computer-generated reserved seating/ticketing since the 70’s, right?

That was just my dumb way of saying they canceled the tickets. Deleted them from my Ticketmaster account, and whatever QR code was on the ticket in my phone wouldnt work at the door. Then they put the seats back up for sale.

So, you completed the purchase transaction, but TM canceled, either deliberately or unintentionally???  Strange.  Sorry it went down like that.

Same thing happened to me. Here’s the text of what they sent. Apparently they activated the “BILLSMAFIA” and “CHIEFSKINGDOM” codes before STH, and tons sold and hit secondary at warp speed. I bought and had no idea that’s where my tickets came from. 

 

It’s more of a TM eff up than it is an “unauthorized code”, but here we are. It sucks, but STH now rightfully get first go. If it were any other business, I’d expect them to do a “make it right”, but I don’t see any potential for that here. I guess I’ll wait and try again in a couple days. Son of a…
 

I’ll also make sure to go with a competitor to TM next time.
