Why Turnovers don't kill the Bills(or Chiefs) like they do normal teams

That's not the point the OP is making, he isn't saying it doesn't matter, what he is saying is that it matters less when it happens to KC and the Bills.   Having a 6-3 record when you lose the turnover battle I would venture to guess may be tops in the league or very minimum top 2-3.  OP is speaking on a relative basis.

 

I made a very similar point in another thread, that the Bills can bring out their B and C game and still win close to 80-90% of the time.  The plays that Josh Allen makes helps make up for the turnovers and average play from the rest of the team that we sometimes see.

And that's fair, but I think the counterpoint some are making is that it's harder to break a habit of making overly risky decisions with the ball when you need your A game for those 10-20% of the games, than it is to just play your A game all the time.

The question on turnovers is always where they occur. Pick 6’s, short field turnovers can result in instant points. Conversely turnover in RZ take points off the board. 
 

Burrow threw a 4th Qtr pick vs Chiefs in last years AFC title game and still won. Why? It didn’t break the back of the Bengals because it occurred at the KC 47.

No team plays their A game all the time. It simply isn't realistic to think that. Thinking back to when you played sports (if you did), did you always play your best game every game?

Back when I played fairly competitive tennis, there were days I had my A game and lost. There were also many days I had my C game and won. I enjoyed playing well and losing a bit more. There’s always someone better, so it was nice to step up your game. 

 

As for the Bills, SCREW THAT!  😂 Just win and advance, baby!!!

Turnovers will kill you if you’re playing a top team. That’s why we will avoid them at all costs from now on.
