The Bengals still have Eli Apple running around as a starting CB in 2023…

Some of you really need to stop glorifying these other incredibly flawed teams. It’s kind of pathetic. You’ve watched no more than a snapshot thanks to Red Zone TV and now think these teams with very real issues are better for no real reason whatsoever.

Come on man no team has flaws but the Buffalo Bills!!!! Get on board the bad take train.

Oh and the best is the people who post stats then when you post stats to counter their point its..."I don't care about stats its the eye test for me". Even though they initially post stats lol.

It’s because this fan base had their brains wrecked by New England. The New England of 2011, 2012 specifically. Now some feel you need to destroy teams by 40 or it’s not an official win.

Personally, I’m not looking for style points necessarily but something consistent and reliable on both sides of the ball.

Be smooth and in control.

What about the other games that looked like this?  Do they count or was today a one off?

Why would they?  What about the games where we looked good-very good- great?  Why wouldn’t they count too?  That’s why none of it matters.  Practice- scheme- kick @$$ on Sunday-

Good teams win ugly. That's the crux of it.  For all of the whining and crying, this is a well balanced and well coached team that does what it takes to win week in, week out.

At no point in this game did it seem like the Bills were in a panic.  They stuck to their game plan and executed it.  Even when the the Phins pulled ahead briefly in the 2nd half, I was not really worried, because on a despite the inopportune turnovers, the Bills consistently looked like the better team.

Not sure I've seen anyone look for style points. Had this been a clean 34-31 game without the usual turnovers, it wouldn't be as worrisome.

But as we've seen ALL YEAR, the Bills turn the ball over a LOT. Pretending that's not a huge red flag, especially against better teams, is silly. Giving a 3rd string, late round rookie 18 points off turnovers isn't a recipe for success.

I've already seen a ton of posts online from Chiefs & Bengals fans saying they're hoping to play the Bills now. What fans say doesn't matter, but it's pretty clear they're not scaring anyone.

I’m concerned that the Bengals aren’t compiling the requisite style points tonight to be taken seriously as “Super Bowl-worthy”.

They know they can make it to the Super Bowl, and they know what it takes to do so....because they did it just last season.

Playing flat against a backup QB at home in the playoffs is all part of their grand design.

All things the same, it all comes down to Josh protecting the football. Everyone else played like they always do. Take away Josh's careless plays and we win by 20. If he plays mistake free next week, we will also win. If he turns the ball over 2+ times, that might be too much to overcome. My hope is that Bal-Cin just keep beating each other down and take a few guys out of the game for next week.

If you think that we will play like this next week because we played like that this week, your mistaken.

win and move on.

We can complain about things from this game, but it doesn’t matter as long as we don’t do it again next weeks Nothing else matters except Ws

Clean up the turnovers and dumb timeouts and I'm ok.

You're mistaken if you think it's just this week, it's been All season. We're #3 in Turnovers & tied for #2 in Drops this year, & #1 in Both of any team in the playoffs. We got away with it against a 3rd string QB today, but the margin for error is getting smaller & the luck will run out. I've been thinking they'll clean it up & waiting for them to actually do it all year. Not worried about style, more execution & concentration that concerns me. Really hope your right & they finally tighten it up. 🙏

They have no choice but to tighten up or watching the Championship games from a couch.

Lol no mistakes here. I watch every game and see what your saying and know the stats. Today was just a glaring example of all of it in 1 game. Im nervous for the next week no matter who the Bills play. Go Bills!

I’m worried about wins and losses.  We’ve now won 8 in a row while playing terrible football.

maybe Cinci will play poorly next week because they played poorly today.  And didn’t play well the week before.  Or the week before.

I'm curious, which playoff team so far has played perfectly?

It's not about playing "perfectly" though. It's about not repeatedly hurting yourself.

It's why you keep hearing things like "most combined sacks/turnovers in a win since 1970" or "Bills were 0-13 in playoff games with a negative turnover differential"... because winning while coughing up the ball like that is exceedingly rare.

And unfortunately, it's a reoccurring theme with this team that didn't change for the playoffs:

Week 1: 2 x INT's/2 x Fumbles = 4 TO's

Week 2: GOOD

Week 3: 1 x Fumble = 1 TO

Week 4: 1 x INT/1 x Fumble = 2 TO's

Week 5: 1 x INT/1 x Fumble = 2 TO's

Week 6: 1 x Fumble = 1 TO

Week 7: BYE

Week 8: 2 x INT's = 2 TO's

Week 9: 2 x INT's = 2 TO's

Week 10: 2 x INT's/2 x Fumbles = 4 TO's

Week 11: GOOD

Week 12: 1 x INT = 1 TO

Week 13: 1 x Fumble = 1 TO

Week 14: GOOD

Week 15: 1 x Fumble = 1 TO

Week 16: 2 x INT's/1 x Fumble = 3 TO's

Week 17: CANCELED

Week 18: 1 x INT/2 x Fumbles = 3 TO's

WC: 2 x INT's/1 x Fumble = 3 TO's

So 9 of 17 games we've had 2+ turnovers, with only 3 games having zero turnovers. Compare that to the Bengals who we play next week:

Week 1: 4 x INT's/1 x Fumble = 5 TO's

Week 2: GOOD

Week 3: 1 x Fumble = 1 TO

Week 4: GOOD

Week 5: 1 x INT = 1 TO

Week 6: 1 x Fumble = 1 TO

Week 7: GOOD

Week 8: 1 x INT/1 x Fumble = 2 TO's

Week 9: GOOD

Week 10: BYE

Week 11: 2 x INT's = 2 TO's

Week 12: GOOD

Week 13: GOOD

Week 14: 1 INT = 1 TO

Week 15: 1 INT = 1 TO

Week 16: 2 x INTs/1 Fumble = 3 TO's

Week 17: CANCELED

Week 18: 1 x INT = 1 TO

WC: 1 x Fumble = 1 TO

Only 4 of 17 games with 2+ turnovers, and double the amount of games (6) with zero turnovers. Keep in mind this doesn't include the countless additional fumbles we managed to recover, which could've made many games far worse.

Thankfully, the Chiefs are pretty similar to us, with 8 of 17 games having 2+ turnovers, and 4 with zero. We just need to somehow keep it together against Cincinnati first.

Bengals didn’t look so hot tonight lol and the chiefs have been barely beating terrible teams all year so who are they to talk?

Neither of the picks today were really bad decisions imo…looked like brown got lost on the deep throw and the throw to Beasley was at worst a good defensive play and at best pass interference.

I’m on the other side honestly if we had won a clean game 34-31 against the dolphins I’d be a lot more worried
