Watching the replay tonight - Edmunds was everywhere, really leading the D.  Great instincts.  

 

I'll get ridiculed - but the guy he reminds me of is Polamalu.

I’ll just say this. If Edmunds wasn’t  hurt at all this year, we would have 1 loss. He’s that big of a key to how we defend the middle of the field.

One of my main complaints about Edmunds was that he had no definable moments in his career. No big time plays in big time games. This play will go down as that - a definable moment. First time in his 5 year career he got a “wow!” out of me. Hope to see more like these for this playoff run!

I will admit this has been his best season but being a contract year it's not a shocker. He basically plays like a 2nd strong safety which is fine for this defense. But if it's going to cost us upwards of 18-20M I just can't pull the trigger. He doesn't generate enough turnovers or sacks.

will also say this on the plus side for edmunds

 

he's so young  (24) still has upside

 

he's playing out of position for the bills....he's not an inside thumper......he should be an olb/edge
