Second, the ball then ricocheted off Beasley right to a totally uninvolved defender. It’s not like Beasley volleyball set it up in the air. Sheeesh This is a distinction without a difference. And yes they could have and probably should have thrown a flag for interference. So do you agree that this INT wasn't on Allen? Oh and Romo was pretty adamant that Brown messed up the pattern when it became a scramble drill which was the reason for that INT. 1 Quote

I think most of us were/are looking to the next round already and thinking(during the game) this team will not beat KC, Cincy or even nfc champs with play like that. At least that’s what I was thinking. We beat an inferior opponent today in a tight and ugly game when it should’ve been an easier or at least a more comfortable win. 1 Quote

Ugly game, but the Bills won. Lots of those this year it would seem, and they keep rolling. Here's to hoping that they continue. Quote

And we all can see he hasn’t played well since KC. We all hope he gets back to the QB we know he can be. Is everyone around Josh playing well? Two Ints were on the WRs today. There were a couple drops on some really good balls. Two passes in the endzone that were inches away from being TDs. Miami worked out Oline all day long. Take away the Ints that weren’t on him and no one is talking about Josh playing poorly. 1 Quote
ndirish1978 Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 I'm just hoping for a fluke win by the Ravens, cause we're not beating the Bengals the way we are playing. Quote

dakrider Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 Bills absolutely have to work the field and try to get first downs instead of trying to score a TD every play. You can't win just on big plays. You take your shots but its like Bills were playing as if they were down 17 points and only had 6 minutes left or something and were trying to hurry up and score that second half. Those last few possessions, they should have been working the clock and getting first downs but Allen is throwing bombs to Davis down the sideline. There were a lot of things in this game that went haywire. The 1st interception - Josh threw it up for grabs and Brown seemed to misplay it, still wasn't going to be a ball he was going to get. The 2nd interception was just bad luck and a great play by Miami. I don't fault Allen or Beasley too much for that. The fumble/TD was Josh thinking he could just shake off the defender and ended up losing the ball. That was probably his worst play. Miami was able to limit Josh rolling out and making plays. Defensively the pass rush was just too soft. They had a few sacks and pressures but several times Thompson had plenty of time. They did shutdown Miami's running game so that was a plus. Bills got a little lucky the Dolphins dropped some catchable passes, but Bills also dropped some huge ones that could have sealed the game. One thing is for sure, the Bills are going to have tough sledding in the AFC East these next few years. 2 Quote

Stefon someone? Crazy game - some superb drives and plays and some utterly dumbfoundingly bad QB play and coaching too at times. I'm hoping it's that we played down to their level - I can't imagine we'll play that badly again. But yet....we won! After the game was watching a highlight show and like you said seeing the 1st Q plays I said the exact thing to my son - those plays seem like a year ago 1 Quote

But whenever Josh sees Cover-0, he has the green light and he has for several seasons now, even under Daboll. I’d bet that Dorsey got in his ear after that one series. But Allen is gonna take his kill shots if he sees the opportunity. That’s also about trusting his defense as well. All that said, Josh needs to know when to rein it in at times. That's a reasonable take. I have more respect now for how much Daboll was able to reign Allen in without taking away what makes him special. That could not have been an easy thing to balance. Funny how some things come into focus only after someone moves on. Dorsey is also a very emotionally charged person (we have seen this and Allen has alluded to it) and Josh is Josh, so we may be in for a roller-coaster ride for as long as they are paired up. 1 Quote
Success Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 Patriots fans are the most bitter "fans who have many championships" that I've ever seen. It's why I'll never envy them. Bitter, petty insecurity is just in the DNA there. Quote
