They need to get some routes where he's throwing it quicker to take some heat off. This offense is too easy to defend and relies wholly on Josh doing something crazy.

They also need another year like 2020 where they put in a LOT of offseason work with the QB/WRs so they learn to catch his passes which everyone says are harder than most QBs. There's blame on both sides for drops even if the ball looks catchable.

It's insane that they have gone the whole year without someone being like, "we should figure out how to run a screen or quick slant"

I’ll be curious what the A22 looks like. I watch most weeks and there’s often quick routes open underneath. But Josh keeps looking down field. It’s why the underneath looks so clunky sometimes. Guys are just waiting for it and flat footed.

Josh’s ability and willingness to keep his eyes down field, and the consistency he makes low percentage throws compared to his peers is both a positive and negative for his game.

When he’s on, we’re unstoppable. When he turns the ball over a few times and starts pressing, it makes everything so hard.

If Allen would stick with it and not get antsy to take a shot... he's be the best QB in the league. The deep shots are killing this team. They seem to outright refuse to throw a pass less than ten yards at times.

It's all low percentage throws and it's unacceptable.  Dorsey can't rely on 17 making a highlight play every drive

Over the last 7 regular season games Josh had 4 ints.  Burrow had 6.  Burrow had 2 less ints on the season than Josh.

if you look at the stats, you think we would have won by about 30, but nothing is easy this year

BUF: 350 yards passing, 3 tds, 100+ yards rushing

MIA: 18-45 passing, 41 yards rushing on 20 carries, 2 INTs

I 100% believe nobody can beat us except ourselves and we almost did it today

Random thought. If McDermott were fired and Dolphins signed him, anyone here even the slightest bit nervous?

Yes. He knows how to get the best out of his roster

It won't. It'll be all over by half time.

ETA - Just to re-iterate. IF we play like we did today it'll be all over by half time. I am hoping we won't and we'll return to pre-bye form. It's clearly in there, we just have to find it.

yeah i agree Dorsey worries me big time

He seems incapable of adjusting to what the opposition defense gives as opportunities....not going to work against Cincy or KC!

This game means nothing next week , whether you win by 3 or 23. This game was close due to turnovers and short fields that resulted  Dorsey needs to give Josh some outlets to hit quickly underneath vs blitzes, I’m not sure either of Allen’s INTs were on him, have to take another look.

lot of truth to this. Think Josh needs to be better/quicker in going from home run to check down

This nailed it.

The game plan would be interesting to look at. They knew the Phins were gonna bring heavy pressure.

Josh has been happy to play the check down game prior to this. I’m just not sure it was in the game plan today

You think if the Bills play like we did today we'd be able to keep up with the Bengals? I guess if they fall apart as well...

Nope - the Beasley throw was the wrong throw.

It was a throw into the chest for a first down.  Thats never a wrong throw.  Beasley bounced it
