Surgery, torn ACL, boom. LJ ghosts the Ravens. They don't know what's going on. And the report is that he doesn't use their facilities and doctors or rehab with them. 30 minutes ago, SageAgainstTheMachine said: Easily the most offensive part of this is "everyone once a response". Luka Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 Ah yes, Sammy "Glass Vase" Watkins, maybe one of the biggest draft busts of all time. Maybe he should've taken his own advice and played through some injuries as well. What an absolute clown this guy is. Easily one of the worst draft picks by the Bills of all time and in general just a ***** person. 1 Quote

RocCityRoller Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 Not a fan of Sammy Watkins at all. This is also a perfect case of people in glass houses (bodies) shouldn't be throwing stones so most of us do not miss the irony of it all. That said, he does speak some truth. Quote

RunTheBall Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 (edited) Baltimore knows Lamar isn’t the long term answer. He’s only as effective as he can run, and for the second year in a row he’s got a bumb wheel. Oh they will talk like they want to keep him, and if Lamar comes to his senses he could get a good not great deal, but something tells me without an agent he’s over estimating his value. No one is giving him or anyone else fully guaranteed contracts. The owners absolutely will put the kibosh on that after the Watson debacle. Lamar has reached his ceiling, he’s not a great passer, and now he’s gimping. He is not in the same conversation as Mahomes, Allen, Burrow or Hebert. He’s a tier down and his offer will reflect that. If he doesn’t accept he will be franchised twice and maybe tagged and traded after the second one. Baltimore has all the leverage. Edited January 14, 2023 by RunTheBall 2 Quote

You don't need an agent to tell you what to ask for in a contract, just a pair of eyes to see what the true elite QBs have gotten. An agent would try to talk him into accepting one of those, finding he's having none of it, and then leave. Which is why I said the Ravens should franchise him and shop around for a deal and see what he's truly worth. Quote

Ian Rapoport is reporting that the Ravens have said they are committed to Lamar Jackson and will begin working on a long term deal when the season is over. Quote

He goes on to imply he’s maybe dogging it essentially over his contract. Then he suggests Lamar risk play on an injured knee anyway, even if it means just on pass plays. You don’t see the irony of all that coming from a player in Watkins who has never put forth his best effort, missed a ton of games over tic tac injuries, and has coasted since getting paid? But more importantly, he is stirring up a distraction and questions heading into a playoff game. He was stupid for talking about it in the media ahead of their playoff game and basically implying he has no confidence or faith in the backups either by calling out Lamar. Not to mention, Sammy wasn’t even on that team when Lamar got hurt because the Packers (a team desperate for WR help) felt they were a better team without Sammy…and turns out they were. I know. I don't think he really slammed him that badly though Quote

Make them trade you for a real deal. Or make them franchisee you- that’s an immediate cap hit of 32 million! Lol Quote

Nuncha Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 Hammy Watchin is telling Lamar to play injured? Quote
Eastport bills Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 Sammy’s just frustrated that Lamar isn’t playing. The Ravens defense will keep the Bengals in check but these backups can’t put pts on the board. The bottom line is Lamar missed the bulk of the last 2 seasons. This year he’s out 6 weeks with a knee sprain, and won’t suit up for the playoffs. The Ravens were right to wait on giving him Mahomes,Allen or Kyler money, but the kid has the ability to wreck their season. I like Lamar but a good GM would trade him for a boatload of draft choices. He’s injury prone and a QBs biggest asset is his availability. Quote
