If I am included in your "they," the assertion is idiotic.

The man is useless.

He is the typical political appointee with no skill in the area he is responsible for.

Impresses his party by his ability to respond in front of a camera, until someone has the nuts to challenge him, as Joe Kernan did on CNBC.

He then looks completely helpless, which he is.

If nothing else, stop with the preposterous innuendo that anyone who thinks he is useless gives a rat's about what he does in his personal life.

That assertion has been tried and tried and tried, and it's a false, failed course.

Can you please provide an overview of successes of Trump's Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao?

This is a perfect example of the utter vacuous nature of your participation.

The discussions about our current Sect. of Transportation, whose major accomplishment is spending millions to get NOTAMS, (Notices to Airman), changed to Notices to Air Missions, so as to eliminate the sexism of the original name, in use since Orville and Wilbur.

He then presides over the entire failure of that system, resulting in a complete ground stop, ie., death to the system until resolved. Thankfully, didn't take too long.

He has done nothing.

Anyway, you then assert that people who kind of know about this stuff really dislike him for other reasons, which is preposterous.

You then, seemingly without any ammo to defend him, direct

your crosshairs on a previous holder of that position who was responsible for the explosion of drone regulations and auto driving vehicles.

What's next?

Actually, nobody cares.

You add nothing.

This is what good looks like. A democrat who was eminently qualified for the position, unlike the inept mayor of South Bend. Chao? Who cares.

Now that we know what good looks like, perhaps someone will step up to the plate and tell us why Pete was a good choice for the job and why he has been a good Sec even if he’s not in Mineta’s league. Maybe that person can do so without name calling, gifs, memes, or TDS on display. Unlikely, I know.

So, after a little research, you realized you couldn't find anything worthwhile on Chao.  I know.

Meanwhile, Pete is implementing a $560 billion investment in America's transportation infrastructure thanks to Biden's Infrastructure Law.

Under his watch we have had unprecedented shipping delays, unprecedented airline failures, an unprecedented train line disaster but he is good at spending money, there will never be a more Billsy response.

It's funny to hear them crow about how few people have resigned from Joke's Admin, as if, with this crew, that's something to be proud of.  All their "checks-a-box" picks have been disasters.

Yea, that's what happens when the economy goes from 0 to 60 after it bottomed out at the end of Trumps term coupled with Trump repealing regulations that kept us safer all in the name of PROFIT...

All you have to do is look at the train disaster - which needs to be addressed ASAP by Biden since TRUMP/CHAO repealed an Obama's safety rule for trains with toxic chemicals:

USDOT repeals ECP brake rule - Railway Age

The silence is bipartisan, actually, because the blame is bipartisan. The Trump administration overturned ECP brake requirements for freight trains, while both the Obama and Biden/Buttigieg administrations have allowed rail industry lobbyists to relax safety limits way beyond what engineering common sense would ever deem safe. Both political sides open themselves up to great weakness if they attack the other, and so the corporate media for each side will just follow suit because they are complicit propaganda machines. Call the widespread silence a perverse Nash equilibrium, I guess…

More than anything, I’d say that these recent train disasters are an indictment of American-style capitalism. It’s the neoliberal culture of deregulation that has been en vogue since the 1980’s. Corporate profits are funneled into stock buybacks instead of increased practical safety measures. Sociopathic CEO’s exercise poor risk assessments, corporate oligarchs hijack our government, average Americans in average towns suffer, the environment is trashed, and crazy-as-f*ck progressives like Commie Kay begin fantasizing about the nationalization of entire industries…

Accountability? lol there is none. This is what you have to look forward to. Complete negligence in infrastructure, medicine, the judiciary, piloting (!) and untold numbers of other areas where Americans will be unable to hold anyone accountable while the regime is more interested in filling diversity quotas than they are in competent management of these industries.

They’d rather have more black lesbians flying planes than have fewer planes crash. That’s it. That’s where your accountability is.
