He has 11 wins in 2 years, no direction at QB, just had to fire his OC…is he really all that good? Or just another good coordinator that’s not a good head coach? They have a really good team with bottom of the barrel QBs. Not entirely his fault. Quote

That is why for his sake I wouldn't take the Jets job. His next OC experience has to go well or it is a long way back to rebuild the reputation. He seems to have a potential home run on a platter if he just sticks with the Bills... Quote

Slightly above average QB play could get them 10-11 wins with that D. But Brady won't have the luxury of knowing that before taking the job. It will be a wing and a prayer. Quote
frostbitmic Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 Either Brady or Bevell would make sense and be good hires, so I expect the Jets to go in another direction. Quote

The only thing I'd say is it is a different offense (as would Joe Brady be). He came in wanting to run the Shanny scheme the stretch zone version of the WCO..... Bevell started as a west coast guy but his scheme the last few years has been much more of a power run and vertical passing offense. Brady is a bit more spread / EP principles. So much feels up in the air - the offense, the OC, the QB.... tough spot for them to be in. Quote
