Ed Oliver is $10.7 million. Basically you have about $6 million cap moving out Oliver and bringing in DHop!! You can probably sign 2 DTs. I think Matt Ioannadis would be a great cheaper signing. Maybe even less than the comp pick qualifier. Re-sign Jordan Phillips. Add a draft pick. You’re going to get similar production from DTs. You’ll still have some left over to sign a veteran pass rusher like Justin Houston or Melvin Ingram. 2 1

Maybe we do take a LB early, but if it’s Bernard, we’d have two undersized LB’s on a team that plays base nickel. I want the middle of our DL just plugging holes and pushing the pocket back. We can get pressure with Von, Rousseau and hopefully a veteran EDGE, along with blitzing Bernard (or whoever) and Milano. I don’t know that there’s a pass rushing DT available where we draft.. maybe that guy Benton our Bills podcasters like.. so just get big and strong up front. Edited March 24, 2023 by SCBills
