Last week we learned that Biden had retained classified documents in his phony baloney Penn Biden office and at his Wilmington residence.

We don’t know what the documents are or what they were doing there. We only know he shouldn’t have had them in his possession.

We await the kind of photographic spread the Department of Justice laid out for public consumption in the Trump case.

We know the documents were discovered by Biden’s lawyers, or so they have told us. Indeed, we only know what Biden’s lawyers have told us.

We don’t know how his lawyers happened to discover the documents or what they were looking for.

We don’t know why they all kept the discovery secret until the leak let the cat out of the bag.

We know that Biden takes classified documents seriously. We know because he has told us so. In other words, we don’t know it at all. He takes classified documents seriously but not literally, or something like that.

Late last week Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed a Special Counsel to keep a lid on the matter. Now everyone who knows anything can cite the Special Counsel investigation to justify his or her silence.

plagiarising Neil Kinnock was stupid and done a long time ago.  No one but biden was hurt.  It pales in comparison to lying 1000's of times while in office, including about the most deadly pandemic in our lifetime.  I doubt kinnock was that upset especially compared to critically ill people who initially had no idea what was making them sick.  On the other hand, his friends were happy to buy stock in zoom.  No comparison in character between biden and trump.

you know jill was his kids babysitter?

Biden has 50 years of lying and horrible votes and positions.  His Urban Jungle comment about segregated schools?  support and push to get votes for prison reform that put millions in prison for nonviolent and victimless crimes.

Trump is a thin-skinned narcissist. but only had 4 years of BS and was investigated many times.

Trump is an awful individual. No argument there. By the same token Biden has yet to come across a lie he won’t tell, including truly heinous lies about the circumstances of his wife and daughter being killed. Why won’t Biden recognize his granddaughter? The guy has decades of abhorrent behavior on record for the world to see. No need to engage in whataboutism. They are both cretins.

from the PolitiFact link. Thank you for serving this up. Now tell us all why this is different. @redtail hawk

Investigators found that alcohol didn’t play a role in the crash, according to a 2008 News Journal story. Dunn, who died in 1999, was not charged. But, the paper reported, Biden has suggested that Dunn was intoxicated when the crash occurred.

In 2007, Biden, then the vice presidential nominee, said that a "guy who allegedly … drank his lunch" drove the truck that collided with Neilia Biden’s car. A clip from 2001 showed Biden describing the incident and saying the driver "stopped to drink instead of drive."

A decent man would not respond like this. He’s a wretched creature of Washington so he’s got plenty of company.

The granddaughter…can you mount a defense for this decent man?

No, but you have no problem swallowing the lies made up out of thin air.

Trump has had his life and narcissistic personality on full display since the friggin 80's.  From the USFL....to the Apprentice..to his White House run...there's not a single person who didn't know what an outrageous boob Trump has always been.

But being a blowhard nitwit doesn't mean it's ok to spy on his campaign and make up ***** in a constant effort to take him down.

In other words you're allowed to be a unlikable blowhard a-hole and still run for President.  See Joe Biden.

The history is there, over his 50 year "public" career.

Videos of him saying all of these.

No embellishment needed.

Trump is a spiteful POS. You realize my quote was exactly what Biden said about Trump docs, right?  Uncle Joe normalized plagiarism for me. :)

I disagree with you on the relative POSedness comparing Biden to Trump and Trump to Biden.  At best, they are on equal footing in that department.  Trump leveraged his name and brand for self-aggrandizement, Biden leveraged the weight, power and worst tendencies of our system to target disadvantaged communities through legislation.  Trump b*nged supermodels and socialites, stating truthfully that some women allow certain things in certain situations.  Biden groped women for decades, was credibly accused of violent sexual assault, and when he ultimately apologized for his groping, he implied the women he harmed didn't understand he meant no harm.

I believe Trump made a significant tactical error in holding on to those files, though I would bet it is pretty common (so far, Clinton and Biden have had similar issues with this sort of thing, and we've only really looked at three individuals).  His error was not recognizing when there is an all-out assault to destroy an individual, nothing is off the table.  He should not have had the files in the first place, and certainly should have understood that what followed likely would follow, and should have expected just about anything could happen.

That said--Biden has been a member of the establishment class for decades.  He's been protected as such, he's run with white supremacists and notorious leches, lied, blustered, and become incredibly wealthy without much speculation on where and how his money was earned.   Remember, he ran in circles where a senator could drive off a bridge after a drunken binge, leave a woman to die in his car, disappear for 10 or 11 hours, make up an absurd story about his actions, and throughout multiple dalliances thereafter, was ultimately lionized as a great American statesman.  That sort of hero worship has to impact an individual on some level.  This is just who Biden is, why would he ever feel that something as innocuous as national security was something he needed to spend time fretting over?   "Throw that box over near the Valvoline, it'll be fine!".

Trump, on the other hand, was under constant assault from the left and their supporters.  Russia was bs.  Ukraine was bs.  Media reporting on both ended up being a ton of bs.  The country rioted, cities burned, people died and Washington barely registered a raised eyebrow.  He watched as a decent and noble public servant was branded a serial sexual predator simply because the system allowed.

So, Trump is Trump, and that's a fair part of the overall conversation as to trustworthiness and character.  Still, part of me thinks Trump took the files knowing full well the all-out assault would continue in perpetuity, and kept documents that might be useful to him later on.   In a perfect world of honorable individuals and a do-the-right thing frame of mind, that wouldn't be necessary.   Washington DC may be the farthest place from that Utopia imaginable.

Hilarious watching these idiots compare Trump and Biden.

Americans had a choice and picked the lesser of two evils.

The fat lady already sang.

The real question is - is anyone above the law?

Notice the freaks won’t touch that… because they victimize Jesus Trump.

Trump should not be above the law, nor should Biden.

They are, though, Ten, and that existed long before Trump was elected to anything.

The argument that somehow Biden was a “hold your nose” pick by people like BillSy  is hysterical.

He’s been a major player for decades, and offered a progressive agenda to his base.  There was nothing unknown about the guy, his ethical, emotional peccadilloes were well established and well accepted.  He was THE guy.

More like he is the guy who climb the greasy pole. Survived the primary. He was running against Trump, so of course you vote for the guy who is obviously the much lesser evil. Much, much lesser

This Admin has been the disaster most of us knew it would be.  Many people might have thought they were voting for the lesser of 2 evils, but they got the far greater one.

Disaster? What, the low unemployment numbers are a bad thing? Putin being checked? Democracy saved at home and abroad?

Just terrible!

Ya gotta love this. Trump is President for FOUR YEARS and Putin attacks nobody. Biden is President for a little over a year and Putin attacks a sovereign country….and somehow it’s Biden that’s keeping “Putin checked”? Okie Dokie

And Putin gets defeated. Putin loved Trump, he wasn't going to upset the apple cart with him there. So ya, good thing we had Biden

Tibs, your thought's on  Biden's greasy pole is your business.

All I can tell you is people vote their best interests, and the leadership of the party generally puts the candidate up that they feel inspires their voter base.  Clearly, the base was energized in spite of the fact that Biden's worst tendencies as a politician actually mirror the complaints you have about Trump as an individual.

It's ok that you wanted him, you owe no one an explanation.
