DasNootz
I was surprised that the organization didn't do more before the game - it seemed like the crowd was waiting to explode if they would have put a message from Damar on the jumbotron or something, but nothing happened and the energy was sucked out of the air quickly after the national anthem. For those that weren't there, they had a video montage to blizzard and introduced the training staff one by one. We were fortunate that kickoff was returned to pump up the crowd again, but I thought the crowd was really subdued. I'm grateful for the win - it just seemed like a missed opportunity by the organization.
Demongyz
Perhaps Damar will show up on Sunday, or maybe have a video message and show up the next week. Who is to say?

However, after there was a fairly modest 'production', it occurred to me that it was probably in the best taste to not take advantage of Hamlin to pump the crowd and team up seeing he is still in a hospital bed and considered in Critical Condition. If they did that, it could easily be construed as soullessly taking advantage of the situation. 0017
Saving that for the playoffs I would think, plus it gives Damar time to get that much better (is he even out of critical condition yet?)
H2o
They're saving him for the Bengals game, if both Buffalo and Cincy make it to the Divisional Round.

34-78-83
We did note the overall subdued nature of the crowd all around us as well. However, it made sense after thinking a little deeper regarding the emotional toll it has had on so many (staff, players and fans alike) all week long. There's only so much in everyone's tank, so to speak.

There was definitely more energy back when they were bad. I think 13 seconds took a toll on our fan base and we will be a little subdued because of our superbowl expectations Edited January 9, 2023 by Bills!Win! WotAGuy
I didn’t feel the crowd was subdued, but I was surprised they didn’t do something to specially recognize Damar, like happened in the Saturday games. I was very impressed with the love the NFL showed him on Saturday. I was also surprised there weren’t Hamlin t-shirts available for sale pregame. No signs handed out or anything upon entering the stadium. That also surprised me. The crowd was so loud pregame, I could not make out the PA introductions of the first responders and missed that they had asked all first responders in the crowd to stand. As it turned out, the kickoff return made up for all that; people were going crazy but it was surreal and many of us were dumbfounded once it happened. It didn’t seem real! RiotAct
crowd sounded into the game, on the CBS broadcast, at least!
Simon
I thought that is sounded a bit muted after the initial 15 minutes of madness. Probably a combination of exhaustion and the realization setting in that this is what we're going to be dealing with regarding the Bills defense the rest of the season.

My question to you isn't intended to be dickish (I say this because that usually IS my goal), but what opportunity do you feel the organization missed out on?

Ethan in Cleveland
For those that remember, they did that with Kevin Everett. Brady then scored 150 points in the game.
