VABills Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 My favorite part of this board is the left-handed compliments. Seriously, thanks. 25694 It wasn't really a compliment. Just read some of these posts. Do you really like being just slightly better than them. It's kind of like breaking one arm is only slightly better then breaking an arm and a leg.
Guest Porknbeans Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 Hands down if they know what they are doing the very first play will be a trick punt. It will confuse the hell out of Jacksonville!
CajunBillsBacker Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 Screen pass to Moulds for 3 yard gain
***PetrinoInAlbany*** Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 I would love to see the first drive be a sustained one with an 80/20 run/pass play ratio. Willis has the size to go inside, too. Travis outside right, Willis between the tackles, Travis sweep left, then - on first-down, the play action pass. Repeat steps one through three as needed. Apply liberally. Two-back formation required, fullback not needed. If you have any questions regarding the safe use of this product, you may call us at 1-800-RUN-THE-FOOTBALL ...
Dan Gross Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 Too predicatable and too easy. Who's wheeling Bledsoe onto the field for the first play? 25617 Didn't you watch the Bang Sports Network's Bills Camp Report? They have a little remote control cart to do that. So far, Manning has lived up to his segment on that report...
/dev/null Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 don't mean to get Clintonian, but it depends on your definition of offensive according to Dictionary.com, there are 4 definitions of offensive as an adjective and 2 more as a noun 2 of the adjectives can be used in this context... Of or relating to a team having possession of a ball or puck Run by Henry between RG and RT Causing anger, displeasure, resentment, or affront The opening kickoff when our Not-So-Special Teams gives Jax great field position
Guest Guest_dan_* Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 I say set the tone for the game and the entire year.... run the ball (to the right, left or middle I don't care) for at least the first 15 plays. I don't care if it takes 5 series and its the 3rd quarter to get those 15 plays in, just keep running and running and running until everyone sees it and takes notice.

Griswold Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 3 pages... and no tennis ball joke? I'm disappointed. Travis up the left side. But the unsung contributor of the day will be Reed catching passing over the middle and slot.
BILLS4LIFE Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 Henry - offtackle to the right side for a 11-yard gain.
clumping platelets Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 Depends on how they get the ball: I'm gonna say, the Jags receive opening kickoff and drive to Bills 42. On 3rd & 6, Leftwich is sacked by Schobel and ball is stripped, recovered on the Jags 46. 1st play is a flea-flicker to a wide open Lee Evans for a 46 yd TD pass Clumpy, Clumpy.....wake up dear!
KnightRider Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 If there is any razzle dazzle, (personally I'd be a little disappointed if there was) I'd like to see a direct snap to either Henry or Willis (only if Travis can't hold on to it)... Oh no, I had a thought like FM, time to slit my wrists... Something like a 30 Dive would certainly set a tone I'd like to see.
BillnutinHouston Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 A tone setter - handoff to Travis to the right side, over Villlareal and big Mike. Gain of 2. Then, we get back to reality and see that we need to loosen up their D - play #2 is a Z fly to Mounds, incomplete. 3rd and 8. Bledsoe to Reed over the middle for 6. Out comes Moorman.
Mike in Syracuse Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 On the first play from scrimmage Trey Teague will explode out of his stance and lay a block of biblical proportions on Marcus Stroud. The block will be so powerful that it severs Stroud's left arm. The resulting force will throw Stroud into the Henderson and leave both of them flat on their backs. Henderson will be unconcious and Stroud will be bleeding profusly. Drew will run through the resulting whole for a seven yard gain.
afrodziak Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 Power off-tackle (to the right) Moulds and Reed wide to the left (reed in the slot) one tight end on right, backs in 'I' formation... just a wild guess
Fan in San Diego Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 Travis Henry running to the right side.
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 Line Sam Gash up out wide to fool 'em...
faderphreak Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 With all the talk of run run run, I am guessing play action pass to Josh Reed for a 12 yard gain to be followed by a run by Henry off right tackle for a gain of four.
