It seemingly counted because they stated on the broadcast Beasley wasn't eligible.

When the ball smacked McKenzie right in the chest and bounced away everyone in my family said "why isn't Cole Beasley playing?" It's too bad they weren't able to get him going before the playoffs. I think they will call him up but probably rely mostly on the guys they have been working with all year (unfortunately)

Agreed but I guess he was elevated, played, and then the game was postponed before it was canceled. Not sure what the difference is 🤷‍♂️
