Kangaxx Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 This has nothing to do with the fact that I got a jersey of his for Christmas. 8 Quote
TNBills Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 Good, but not as large a deal as we all were thinking at the beginning of the season. Too many drops for a #2. 11 Quote

Einstein Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 He's okay as a two. But he is definitely not a 1b like we all thought he might be. 2 4 Quote
NoSaint Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 Unless he steps up hugely from here, you can’t give him the contract that he will receive elsewhere 3 4 Quote

If paying a guy, he’s got to be the guy. we will take the good comp pick I think Edited January 8, 2023 by NoSaint 2 3 Quote
NewEra Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 I couldn’t answer that until I knew if he was willing to take less than market value. If he takes less, I’d say There’s a decent chance 2 Quote
Doc Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 Zero anytime soon. And next year if he blows up, is it because it's a contract year? 3 Quote
Alphadawg7 Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 He isn’t worth the investment. I’d rather draft his replacement this year than pay him any where near what he will get on the open market. And this is from someone who thought he was going to have a big year. But he has shown me he is a low end number 2 WR probably better suited as a 3rd WR. His drops, lack of awareness at times, bad feet, and lack of consistently getting open has all just been too much this year to consider paying him like a #2 WR. 10 1 6 Quote
Turf Toejam 34 Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 Lack of focus and concentration. You see him make mistakes all the time. 1 1 Quote
Coach Tuesday Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 His career trajectory is trending toward Nate Burleson. 1 Quote

It's interesting you mention bad feet as recall a number of times as rookie and last year, a number of catches he'd make along sidelines and always manage to stay in bounds. He was often praised for that, but seems to have forgot all that 3 3 Quote

MiltonWaddams Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 It’s weird, because all I heard about all off-season was how hard he works, and how much he focuses on his attention to detail. Then, he comes out and has made so many mental errors that you wonder what the heck he was doing all off-season. 2 Quote
peterpan Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 If you threw big money at him, he would drop it. Maybe a few dollars over vet minimum, whatever that is. 4 1 Quote

When you pay your QB there is an expectation that you do a little more with a little less. Our group isn’t great but it’s not terrible either. Quote

Makes you wonder if there's more to that injury he suffered early on. Though bad ankle shouldn't explain dropped passes. But maybe something else going on?? Quote
