  1. 1. Are you satisfied with the NFL's decision, and method to adjust the AFC playoffs as a result of the Bills v. Bengals game?

    • Yes. I am satisfied with the decision.
    • No. The Bills v. Bengals game should have been canceled, but the NFL should have handled the situation differently.
    • No. The Bill v. Bengals game should have been rescheduled.
    • No. The Bills v. Bengals game should have resumed on MNF, after Hamlin was taken to the hospital.

I think the fairest and most reasonable thing to do for all parties would have been to have the Bills forfeit. Anything less than that is a gift.

I truly believe the NFL is trying to come up with the most equitable solution.

Also….Are the Bills officially out of the running for the # 1 seed? I haven’t even bothered to research it.

no. KC loses, Bills win and Bills are #1

If KC loses and we win, we get the #1 seed.  I think it's basically as if we lost half a game on Monday night.

I would feel a lot sorrier for the Bengals getting mildly jobbed by this decision if not for these two plays prior to DH injury:

  1. s***bag Hurst diving onto Taron Johnson's head with intent to injure
  2. s***bag Hendrickson rolling into Josh Allen's legs with intent to injure

In light of those two plays, I choose to consider the NFL's decision to be proportionate and fair.

Note, this has nothing to do with my thoughts on how the Bengals' coach and players conducted themselves during subsequent events, which I found quite admirable.

I can compartmentalize the MNF game into pre-DH and post-DH.

I think the Neutral game should be played in Buffalo/Cincy which ever team doesn't make it. I know they are thinking: Colts-Falcons-Titans stadiums but I like the Bills vs. Chiefs @ Bengals or Bengals vs. Chiefs @ Bills.

Also the Chiefs luck out if the Bengals win. They'll avoid the Bills/Bengals unti the Championship game and have a chance to host it.

The Bengals/Ravens thing is so weird. It feels odd for CIN to possibly win the division with the same number of wins and lose both head to heads.

I don’t like changing the rules for them mid season. But ultimately they had 16 games to handle business, and they didn’t. I feel the same about the 1 seed and the Bills.

As a Bills fan it feels like our boss gave us all the time we need to handle a family emergency, but we’re not getting paid for the days we don’t show up. Luckily we are still firmly in the running for presidents club.

They stand to maybe lose a home game, if they lose to the Ravens.  The Ravens without Lamar.  It's proper that they'd object, but come on, the Bengals will kill them.

They want to build in a mini- bye for themselves this week by resting starters. The NFL is trying to discourage this and added the coin flip language in there. It’s also to compensate the Ravens for not having a chance at the division. If the Bengals win it won’t be used.

as far as neutral site domes:

Lucas Oil - Venue available

Buf to Indy - 494 miles

KC to Indy - 475 miles

Cin to Indy - 112 miles

Mercedes Benz - Atl - Venue available

Buf to Atl - 887 miles

KC to Atl - 792 Miles

Cin to Atl - 460 miles

Cinci fans will have a distance advantage to each of the domes in the eastern half of the country.

There is no perfect solution for this situation, at least not given the Bengals game won't be resumed.

I think that overall the league did a very good job here.  The neutral site solution is IMO a good solution, somewhat thinking out of the box . I cannot recall this being suggested in the hundreds of pages of thread on this earlier in the week (though I admit I didn't read every single comment), so kudos to the league for that.

The only part I don't like is the potential coin toss between Ravens and Bengals, I basically totally agree with Zac Taylor's view on that.  Admittedly, I don't like the Ravens and I think they don't even deserve a play-off spot this season 😏

Hopefully week 18 results will imply a situation where little of this matters.  We should - in a weird way - also be glad that the Hamlin incident happened in the first quarter.  Just imagine this had happened say in the 3rd quarter with either the Bills or the Bengals having a 14-point lead, it would have caused a much bigger cry about injustice.

Thanks, yes they have monster truck that weekend.

Monster Truck in Indy is 2/4, Conference Championship is 1/29, can they turn over the stadium that quickly?

We're not going to get this petty, are we?
