Ok, then why did cincy fall one spot?

The author states his reasoning fairly briefly, but clear.  After seeing the eagles without Hurts he drops them 2 spots.  Bills and Chiefs remain unchanged relative to each other.  The author appeared to be uncertain on Purdy, but his most recent performance gave him the confidence to move the niners ahead of the Bengals and Eagles.  While you may or may not agree with his ranking, the delta from prior week doesn't seem to have anything to do with Hamlin.

There is very little separating the top five teams.  No team is an unbeatable juggernaut.  Week to week circumstances will affect the order in the eyes of observers.  That's just the reality of the situation.

All it is is the Eagles losing to the Andy Dalton led Saints.  Pushed everyone else near the top up.  Same with NFL.com and ESPN power rankings.

1. 49ers

The 49ers love is so absolutely absurd. Can't wait to see them get bounced in their first playoff game.

Yeah, the Bills ranking is "sensitive" but the Niners deserve clearcut league supremacy. GTFO

Just take it. If they want to give us the Super Bowl just take that too.

Every team that gets a new stadium tends to win a SB…helps to pay for it.

What is confusing to you?  Eagles were 1, Bills were 2 the week before/ Then Eagles got dropped 3 spots and everyone else bumped up one.

Is it really that far off we had the number one seed in the AFC locked up if we beat the Bengals and then the game was cut short for obvious reasons we are a top three team in the NFL

Yes because I believe objectively they are the 3rd best team in their own conference.

The keyword is objectively

Any one of four teams as #1 is a legit opinion. Maybe even five.

The Bills are certainly one of those teams. Probably top two or three.

That is objectively ridiculous. Power rankings are subjective undertakings.
