HOUSE Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 (edited) I would back the Bills decision if Hamlin does not drastically improve. .. https://www.boston.com/sports/new-england-patriots/2023/01/04/damar-hamlin-decision-bills-patriots-game-postponed/ .https://985thesportshub.com/listicle/mike-reiss-wouldnt-be-shocked-if-patriots-bills-isnt-played-sunday/ Edited January 5, 2023 by HOUSE 6 2 2 1 1 4 Quote
DCofNC Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 I have a feeling the NFL would fine the crap out of them. That’s messing with way too much. 2 4 Quote

I mean, I'll support the team in the same way that I support my adult children when they make decisions that I personally disapprove of, but I'll still disapprove. 21 Quote

PonyBoy Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 What if the Patriots refuse to play too as a display of solidarity for player safety? The NFL has looked bad this year(Tua & more). Would be quite a statement. 🤔 2 1 1 2 2 Quote
T.E. Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 Just now, HOUSE said: Not a chance that would be a PR nightmare, HUGE They wouldn't be publicly fined, but there would be some strong behind-the-scenes coercion to play that game. It affects like four different teams in regards to playoff seeding. Five, if you count Buffalo. Quote
JDubya76 Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 Then I will watch something else on Sunday. Football is just a kids game played by elite athletes. Life and well-being is way more important than a kids game. 2 1 1 1 1 Quote
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 Sorry but the NFL won’t just tolerate that. It’s a damn hard situation for the Bills but it’s not like Damar gets better by us not playing. 5 Quote
HomeskillitMoorman Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 I think they have to play this Sunday. Everyone understood about Monday night...but eventually you gotta get up and get moving. 15 5 1 Quote
Fan in San Diego Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 What if we play Cinci on Sunday instead of the Bellicheats? Isn't the Pats game a meaingless game anyways? 1 Quote

Captain Caveman Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 If the team publicly states they're not ready, especially if there aren't positive developments with Hamlin, it would be a PR nightmare for the league to push back on it. That's why you have Troy Vincent out there today saying the league will look to the Bills Players and Coaches for direction. 4 minutes ago, Fan in San Diego said: What if we play Cinci on Sunday instead of the Bellicheats? Isn't the Pats game a meaingless game anyways? Not for the Pats, and also could decide the AFC North depending on what ends up happening with the Bills / Bengals result. 1 1 Quote

Saxum Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 NFL would award the division to New England and Bills would be disqualified for playoffs. 6 Quote

Kyle and freddy Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 Jason McCourty on GMFB made a point that many of these guys have dealt with adversity their whole lives and sports/football have been an outlet /escape from friends getting killed, poverty, broken families , parental drug abuse, crime ridden neighborhoods…they reached the top of their profession through hard work , having supportive teammates … I think it will be positive to get back to doing what they do best and where they thrive 2 4 2 Quote
