Go Bills

Thats on Coaching , I would think ?

My guess would be they went over all that during the week with him. If you get zone look here, man to man look there, cover 2 you're going to want to go to this receiver and so on. It can't be on the coaching when the same exact things were on Josh early in his career. He needs to be able to read defenses and then know where to go with the ball.

Greg Cosell, who knows his sh_t when it comes to football, was placing it on Jones and said the play concepts were good and producing open receivers.

Huh?   If the QB makes the wrong read and throws to wrong route, how is that on the coach?

Macorkle does not strike me as a humble, working hard to get better type btw.

Dont Huh me  LOL
If he is not Coached to be successful in his skill set (limited or not ) Coaches are not doing their job
you just cant field a guy who cannot at least execute the play call, So either put someone else in. Or give him two read basic plays.

Just my opinion that Coaches are responsible for a players success On the field .

If he cannot be coached up and is still on the field, again on Coaching and the HC

Double Huh!!?? 😎 😂

So per Greg Cosell Macorkle is missing on double read basic plays.

I agree that the Pats coaching staff on Offense looks like the SAT afternoon OTB crowd and aren’t helping him.

But the risk in Pats drafting Mac is that yr 1  was his ceiling.  He might just be an unathletic, uninspiring and weak armed QB.

So here is hoping Pats waste a year changing OC and QB coach next year, then think it’s the WR room and try and fix that on 2024 and so on.   All for a guy who will be a Derek Carr level QB on his best day.

No, means the play was that poorly designed.  Maybe the open person was suppose be a decoy and never an option but the ones meant go to covered.. or like I said doesn’t feel he has time get to his third read.. he has shown glimpses of amazing accuracy and ok arm strength when he has time..

But needless to say he was the best option in his draft outside of the first pick.. and well the crazy trades for Wilson and Watson look like huge huge mistakes. They needed a QB they drafted the second best available that year and better than any from last years draft it seems too.. and they didn’t mortgage they future to trade for a supposed stud QB.  Point is Mac is the best option they have right now unless they somehow trade up get Young if he slips some..

You sound like many of us during the drought. “He doesn’t have good coaching, he has no WR’s, it’s the O-line he has no time” Excuse after excuse for a mediocre at best QB. We did it for years.

Welcome to QB purgatory. I hope it lasts for decades

I think he was asked that and was undecided? Said while he did look at game tape, he didn't know enough about the situation. He didn't sound very optimistic though.

Oh sure,  he is likely a dumbas too !
But the offseason at Patriots and all the  " who is the OC bs ? Oh we cant tell you yet " make me think this was a mess before the season began.
Do not disagree he might suck wind freddy !
But how can coaching allow this on the game day ?
Dumb it down enough for him if he cannot execute

Maybe they should have spent more time on the run game offseason  LOL

I wouldn't be either. Optimistic that is 🙄
What does this say about Bill B ? Is he jus a victim? Hasn't he been the default GM ?

For Bill I believe it means 1 of 3 things. Either he's too loyal, likes yes men or likes coaches he's already familiar with.

As far as Greg is concerned, to just a guy listening, he sounded like he didn't want to come out and blame anyone, but I think it was the answers to Chris Brown's follow up questions that eventually painted the picture. When you hear things like they have good play concepts that are producing wide open(his words) receivers, Mac is just not seeing them and often isn't even looking in the right areas of the field and for whatever reason he's simply not seeing them(The open WRs). To me, that's sounds like it's on the QB all the way.

I've been telling him that all year lol.  We all know what mediocre QBs look like. We had that for like 2 decades.

Beasley has played only 4 games this year.  How fresh does he need to be?

Ummm….maybe Beasley is just stale now…People seem to think he is Beas from 2-3 season ago….maybe he is just ineffective now

Question.. because I honestly don’t know.. did you ever have an unqualified OC or aQb Coach like Patricia and Judge? I honestly don’t know but these two have zero experience on the O side of the ball and they are legit garbage! Mac could be bad or meh we don’t know yet.. we would if we had competent OC and WB coach

Oh yes we've had more then our fair share of unqualified coordinators and position group coaches through the 18 year drought.

Lol.  What did Mac do vs Bills last year with a real OC.  He’s won 4 games in Pat’s last 8 all vs backup QBs.

So keep doin what you been doin BB!

We had some ok ones, we had some absolute clowns. IDK if we had anyone as bad as Patricia and Judge, to your point. I’ve blocked out most of that 17 years of pain the PTSD comes back to easily if I think back. Most of it was Ralph’s (thank you for keeping the team in Buffalo) fault. New ownership changed everything.

Ok, so according to the flow chart, the difference between a win and loss tomorrow is where the AFCCG will be, correct? (And who we play in round 1, but we need to beat whoever that is. Period.)

So win and neutral, lose and Arrowhead?

Not at the same time. We did have a WR coach as QB coach in Josh’s rookie year but Daboll was OC. But this whole situation falls squarely on BB for thinking that this could work. That’s just hubris.

Bills lose the bye because they didn’t play the Bengals. So be it. They have a tremendous opportunity tomorrow and still a fair and manageable path. Everything in its right place.

If the Bills finish as the #2 seed, they can play NE, MIA, PIT or JAX in the WC Round.  If JAX wins tonight, they'd be removed from this list.

If the Bills finish as the #3 seed they WILL play Baltimore.

If the Bills win, an AFC Championship game between the Bills and Chiefs would be at a neutral site.  If the Bills lose, the AFC Championship would be played at the highest remaining seed, as it is normally.
