IronyAbounds Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 I'm an optimist. Raiders beat KC on Saturday, Ravens beat Bengals and Bills beat Pats. Makes the Buffalo-Cincinnati game irrelevant, Bills get home field throughout, and the only remaining thought about that game will be thinking how miraculous it will be when we witness Damar's complete recovery. But as it stands now with this ruling, if approved even if KC beats Vegas, which is likely, we no longer will have to go to Arrowhead for AFC championship game. We can have two home playoff games and then neutral field vs KC. After everything that has transpired this year for Buffalo, I think this new path is certainly favorable to going to Arrowhead again. I’m sure KC won’t like this ruling one bit. Edited January 6, 2023 by Billznut Quote

That would require divine intervention. Quote
Punch Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 The proposal will likely pass but it isn’t “official” yet until the owners meet tomorrow. Quote
nkreed Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Does the owners meeting require a unanimous vote to pass? Quote

sullim4 Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Feels like the neutral site for BUF/CIN would be Cleveland, and for BUF/KC would be Indianapolis. Will be interesting to watch, hopefully it's not necessary. 2 Quote
Buddy Hix Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 So Bills will probably host Miami in WC Quote
TBBills Fan Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 So would that mean that if the bills win and KC loses this week it will be in Buffalo in the AFCGG? 1 Quote

But not sure what the threshold is. If it’s the usual 75% for owners meetings changes or a simple majority will do it. I think it’ll be the 75% most likely. 1 Quote

DapperCam Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Honestly kind of bummed about this solution. I was looking forward to possibly buying tickets to the AFC championship game in Buffalo this year. Pretty good odds if we make it we will be playing the Bengals or Chiefs. Quote

For example all 3 teams have outdoor stadiums so would they choose a neutral outdoor stadium? 1 Quote

Also, I’m in favor of the 3 seed….kinda. If we’re gonna ride with Damar, let’s ride with Damar! 3 1 1 Quote

In that case, Buffalo retains the 1 seed but the proposed scenarios come into play for Buffalo and cincy only, if cincy also wins. I think. Quote
