No it can’t. If BUF wins, any game against CIN is here. If CIN wins and we lose, we’d have to go there

If KC loses and BIlls & Bengal both win, then the outcome of Bills v Bengals would’ve decided #1 seed.   Since game  was canceled AFCG goes to neural site

Nope.

The game was cancelled, so it in effect does not exist.  As a result, the Bills would finish 13-3, while the Bengals would be 12-4.

You have to look at it as if the Bills and Bengals weren't scheduled to meet at all this season.  There is no tiebreaker because there is no tie.  The Bills have the better record, so they host.

That’s not what the league is saying.

From NFL.com

“The AFC Championship Game will be played at a neutral site if the participating teams played an unequal number of games and both could have been the number one seed and hosted the game had all AFC clubs played a full 17-game regular season”

The unequal number of games part contradicts the full 17-game regular season part. Id say the former takes precedence but the NFL is fudging this up royally.

Yes BUF & CIN will have an equal number of games. But if you read the full release, I don’t think they will give home field to 1 team or the other if seeding could’ve changed based on Bills v Bengals outcome.

Sounds like there will be an official decision tomorrow

Read the bolded.

The Bills and Bengals will have each played 16 games.  Thus, the participating teams will have played an equal number of games.
