Chandler#81
I vaguely recall a Detroit Lion dying on the field in the ‘60’s, a WR I think. I believe they were playing the Bears..

Its notlike the movies. When you have a cardiac arrest even after the heart comes back electrically it still may not be moving. And if he had CPR for 9 minutes there may have been little blood movement during that 9 minutes

BritishBill
1 minute ago, Beck Water said: My soccer pal friend just texted me this: “I’m going to try to take a hopeful take. Denmark national soccer player Christian Eriksen collapsed and coded on a soccer field a year or so ago. Was successfully brought back with CPR and an AED. Playing professional soccer again. Hoping for the same outcome. “ Big difference there was eriksen was stabilised and breathing on his own as he left the pitch on a stretcher - giving thumbs up etc. players could continue safe in to knowledge he was alive and stable. here the players don’t know if Hamlin is going to survive this. Game has to be called off by the league. Don’t leave it to the teams. Not fair,
NyQuil
As a former paramedic you aren't waiting for family with a critical patient, you are getting them to the hospital. 5 2

stevestojan
The fact that this game hasn’t been called already is gross. Even if that means we take the L. 1

SirAndrew
ESPN crew should probably send prayers and thoughts to Damar and his family, and cut the awkward chat at this point.

Ray Stonada
A heart surgeon in my family, he just sent this : “Well he had cardiac arrest, which is like being dead. But it seems CPR was successful enough that they took him off on an ambulance. Likely an arrhythmia from which he should recover.” 6

Nextmanup
If the NFL cannot get confirmation--and soon--that he is alive and stable on his way to a hospital, THIS GAME WILL NOT CONTINUE. That's my take.
