That’s positive news. Something respiratory rather than heart related.

probably not, sadly.  If he has a pulse but not breathing it's more likely that his autonomic nervous system has shut down down: brainstem injury.  And seeing as it didn't appear that he suffered a major blow to the head, I think ruptured brain aneurysm is a high likelihood.

We cannot accomplish much by speculating while we wait for news. Obviously an unprecedented moment. Whether you believe in the power of prayer or the positive energy of brotherhood or just hope and kindness, let’s all send everything we have his way and hope for the best.

I am currently working CT in an ER ... head injuries/CPR/AED usage are critical... that there is a pulse is a good thing... could be anything all we can do is pray and let the medical professionals do their thing...

Commotio cordis is a condition that results in sudden cardiac arrest from blunt trauma to the chest. It occurs without previous cardiac damage. This seems what most likely happened.

I can’t believe the NFL tried to make them play after five ***** minutes of warm up. Are you ***** kidding me

Possibly one of the most insensitive and stupid actions ever. They should have immediately suspended the game , not some 5 min recess.

Let me take a sledgehammer to your chest, with Aaron Donald swinging it, and see how your ***** heart does

Ok. Take it easy fellas. We all want Hamlin to be ok.

The NFL could postpone this game until tomorrow night, then move the Bills-Pats and Bengals-Ravens to Monday night next week.

If the NFL refuses, I support the Bills forfeiting. No human should have to play after seeing that.

Someone on another forum proposed that. Makes sense. Though not sure if either team will want to play even 24 hours on.

I’m hope everyone is scrambling to try to figure out the right thing to do simply because of all of the ramifications involved.

that said as a Bills fan I am 💯 behind forfeiting if that is what’s needed to be done.   It’s a game nothing more.

Playing this sport without focus is more dangerous and is placing players at risk on both teams.   Just not worth it

hoping the NFL is looking to do the right thing
