Snowblower or plowing?  They say plowing. How does one get hurt plowing?  Crash into a tree/obstacle? Another vehicle? Small tractor and fell off it?

I recently read of someone killed while plowing up an incline when the plow flipped backwards on top of him.... not saying this was the case here.

Yeah... Assuming it's a machine where the operator sits outside.  May not have ROPs (RollOverProtection).

 

Curious to what happened here. Hope they say, because these things other people may learn from.

Hard to say what happened. As EII suggests its probably a rollover. Note exactly flat land there.

It ran over his leg, a large amount of blood loss.

A college buddy made that mistake. He lacked the full compliment of digits, and I’ll never need to be told twice.

Sounds like a motor vehicle accident in which Renner was the only vehicle.  He could have driven off the road and flipped his vehicle or hit a tree or a million other things.  He may not have worn a seatbelt and been ejected from the car...who knows.  He was hurt bad enough that they flew him to the hospital on a chopper.

 

He's probably in bad shape.

He was operating a 7-ton PistenBully. He said it began to roll when he got out and tried to jump back in the cab. He's very lucky he's alive.
