Elam showed vs George Pickens that he’s not ready to play man against top-end receivers (yet). The Bengals have very, very good receivers. The Bears currently have the worst receiving corps the league given the injuries. Keep in mind that zone results in a lot of easy completions, especially for highly accurate qbs with multiple good options. That’s Burrow for you. Lael Collins going down is huge given that it gives Rousseau an advantage. Pickens was way earlier in the year. I think a better barometer would be how Elam did in the Miami game. Quote
stlbills13 Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 Yeah White hasn't been very good. Burrow/Chase/Higgins are actually a QB/WR combo that can exploit it. But they're going to exploit almost any secondary unless you get consistent pressure on Burrow. That is the key to the game. It will be hard to run on the Bengals too but I would like to see our RBs be more involved in the pass game. Don't get me wrong, Cincy has some great talent on defense but they have a strong system and make a lot of "effort" plays. You have to wear them down and accept the 4-5 yard checkdowns they give you Quote
Dablitzkrieg Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 I love it when they are doubted. They take it to heart and use it as fuel. Bills by 2 scores 1 Quote

They just need to be patient with it for yards on a run is a win. 1 Quote

Teams are targeting him and yes he got burned by waddle and hill in man. But outside that he’s been great. He almost completed the slice replace for a pick last week. He’s rounding out well. 3 Quote

Tommy Callahan Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 in my opinion trey is getting his feat in the correct place on most plays. he is right in the hip pocket. but not getting his head, hands around like he did.. but its coming. hang this crap right up on the bulletin board McD. Quote

He definitely makes up for some of it with instinct and strong knowledge, but it’s a problem. He doesn't trust his knee. I think it is entirely mental. Entirely speculation on my part but I think the Bills had to coax him onto the field. 1 Quote
HOUSE Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 This can only mean one thing, 2 ints by Tre White, thanks Chris Quote
SCBills Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 Team shouldn't lack for bulletin board material. We apparently... -Can't guard their WR's, even with Tre -Can't run on them -Can't throw on them because Josh Allen is struggling Anybody else want to chime in before Monday? Quote

Nextmanup Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 It makes sense to me that Tre is still not up to his normal standard. The question is if he is going to get back to it, and if so, when. He deserves more time to find out. Let's check back in halfway through next year. Quote
HOUSE Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 I think it was predictable everyone would be now watching Tre closely. How about all the CBs that choke on Diggs because it happens every week . Why don't the teams bench those horrible corners ? 1 Quote
Ethan in Cleveland Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 Tre could never run with the fastest guys in the league. He has looked as good as I expected him. I was really impressed when he pass defensed that quick out on third and short last week. It was great anticipation and awareness. That's his best play since returning. His worst play was probably that long completion that Fields hit to Jones on the first play after the Davis fumble. That ball should have been an INT. It was floated out there and hung in the air forever. White showed no explosion after tracking the ball. All that said, If I was Cinci I would test him deep. I don't think he can run with Chase and if the Bills leave him on an island that is dangerous. 2 Quote

This should provide Tre some excellent motivation. That’s good for the Bills. I don’t think it’s a “surprised”. He isn’t back to form. That’s expected. But also, he’s going to be targeted because of it. It is what it is. Quote

He gets this ga-ga look in his eyes around his "Boy Blue" (is there a more creepy nickname in sports?) like he wants to date him. I like Simm's QB analysis a lot but hope he's wrong about Tre. 1 Quote
