I think Carr has gotten a bad rap most of his career. He’s been pretty good, but not great, in a terribly unstable organization and has been extremely loyal to it.

I don’t know what he has in the tank anymore, but I do know that McDaniels sucks as a HC. At some point the org has to move on from both. Careers always end.  But if I’m a QB needy team like the Jets I would have zero issues taking a flyer on the guy.

I hope McDaniels gets stuck with Carson Wentz.

He’s been loyal because he’s holding the franchise hostage.  He’s not capable of winning the SB with any team imo.  The raiders paid him well for being a meh qb.  He should be nothing but grateful to that team

Their best weapon is Garrett Wilson.

McDaniels is an arrogant cheating POS.  His failure brings me happiness

Amazing that this guy got a second head coaching job. Of course the Raiders front office hasn't done anything smart in a long time.

Besides Wilson who else do they have??

According to you the running backs are the only weapons they have.  That's called moving the goal posts.

Also why would you go from paying almost no tax in LV Nevada to paying up the ass in taxes in NJ/NY? Miami you’ve got a 1,700 yard receiver and a 1,400 yard Receiver, plus a decent running game in Mostert and Wilson Jr and no state tax.

I say running backs because none of the Jets receivers haven’t  been major threats to anyone these last couple seasons. The only threat the jets have had this season was their running game

I wonder if the NFL is trying everything in their power for Davis to sell the team? It’s obvious the NFL still holds a grudge against the Davis family

Lol Wilson is not at the same tier as Hill or waddle. Outside of Wilson who else do they have? Cause Moore is most likely leaving the team during the offseason

Why do u wanna see a good QB go to the Dolphins there our competition?

I agree. I don't think Derek Carr is now, or ever has been, the problem for the Raiders. I understand why people look at him and say "he can't win a Superbowl" and maybe that is true. But in 8 seasons as the Raiders starting Quarterback he has NEVER had a defense rank better than 20th in points per game and only twice have they been top 20 in yards per game (with a best of 14th last year when, oh look.... they made the playoffs!)

Awful organisation that has been bad on defense for as long as I can remember and has given him 6 Head Coaches in 8 years.

That being said, Carr is 31. They have certainly seen his ceiling and if they think there is an opportunity to take a Quarterback of the future in the draft they 100% should do that. The problem for them is that they are presently in line to draft 9th and all 8 of the teams ahead of them are potential Quarterback teams (Arizona probably not but not impossible). Most people think there are 3, at a push 4, potential round 1 Quarterbacks in this class. To get one they almost certainly need to lose out and even then might need to swing a trade up. The Cardinals or the Bears might be willing to take a bounty of picks to slide back and start patching up some of their roster holes.

Garett Wilson has been a fantastic #1 WR.   Corey Davis is also a #1 WR...and Mims is not far behind...  Technically they may have a better cast than the Bills at this point (Minus Diggs).

Mims?????? What is it about his 0 NFL touchdowns in 3 seasons and sub 50% catch rate that you like? He sucks.

Corey Davis isn't a #1 either. He is a decent #2 though. I think Wilson and Davis outside with Elijah Moore in the slot potentially is a decent starting trio.

Is Carr now a better representative of QB purgatory than Kirk Cousins? I don't know man, I hate Kirk Cousins so much, but this year has been a doozy. I think Carr is the new poster boy.

Davis already said he’s not firing McDaniel.

I say Carr goes to Miami because of Tyreek and Jaylen. Also Florida no state tax. NY is one of the highest taxed states. He lives in LV Nevada one of the most tax friendly cities.

dont jets players pay NJ taxes rather than NY taxes

Wilson is effing good. Not sure what games you’re watching.

Garrett Wilson might disagree with you, as may many others.

Yet another reason to be thankful we have McDermott - threats and statements like this about your team don't help build any type of winning culture - keep your business private and don't make this something the media is involved in. I have no idea why this guy was ever given a chance honestly.

Yep.  You don’t reach players by being an egocentric ass and expecting “Sir yes sir” anymore.  The good modern coaches are about building up trust and love.
