purple haze Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 Go to the games or don’t go to the games. There’s no roof coming. It’s settled. There’s no meat left on the bones of this dead issue. I vehemently wanted the stadium downtown. The Pegula’s chose to keep it in OP. I’m not complaining about it in perpetuity. There’s a roof on your home, stay there and watch the game in comfort; eat and drink what you want to eat and drink, keep the company you want to keep, get the biggest flat screen you can and see all the great camera angles from the TV broadcast. Pray the serenity prayer. 1 2 1 Quote

Simon Says Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 Why is this even a topic of discussion? The new stadium will NOT have a dome. 1 Quote

They worded it asshat political jargon and the results are goofy as a result but still majority still wanted dome. Quote

Can you name those 55k people since you seem so sure of yourself? And I never said anything bad about the Metrodome. I have no clue where you're getting your info. 1 Quote

I can heat up for cold games with hot packs and proper dressing but hot games you just bake Agree. Went to a home opener with my brother and they ran out of all water. I got heat stroke and my brother had to beg to get ice to cool me down. Quote

Even Hoosier Dome for Indy was awesome been there many times. SuperDome also is crazy loud, as is Atlanta when they are winning, and the TransWorld in St Louis was also great home field when they were crazy good in Warner years. I have also "even" been to smaller domes for football like UNI in Cedar Falls Iowa and the Fargodome in Fargo ND. "Even" those are loud and great homefield atmosphere. Much louder than outside. and FYI when i said "even" Metrodome, that adverb was denoting an additional note you did not specifically ask for but fits the conversation and adds context. Go enjoy your dome teams. There are more open air stadiums in the Eastern half of the U.S. No one complained back in the 60's and 70's. I'm a diehard domophobe. As are most of the cold weather fans. You think GB fans want a dome? Or Chicago fans? Highly doubtful. On 12/22/2022 at 1:59 PM, purple haze said: Go to the games or don’t go to the games. There’s no roof coming. It’s settled. Over and done with. No lol, you are wrong again. Most of the cold weather fans favor a dome. All polls show it. 🤷♂️ That's why cold weather games avg less attendance. Look at Soldier Field tomorrow and you will see. If they all loved it, they would be clamoring for tickets and they would not be selling for $4 and $14 right now. and you are wrong about Bears fans too. Recent Polls show 70%+ want the dome in Arlington heights built. and before that a majority always wanted a dome. Quote
The Wiz Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 People still arguing about wanting a dome vs not? Quote

Every shifty weather game the past few years have been sold out. If your team sucks, you're not gonna sell out. The Bills are good so no one cares about a little wind and snow. 1 Quote
