Wacka Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 Can't tell you how it is outside in Cheektowaga. The blowing snow is stuck onto the windows obscuring a clear view. 1 Quote
Just Jack Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 (edited) If you want to check out different areas of NY, there are traffic cameras you can use. Not at the table Karlos Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 Went for a walk around the block. Pretty sure I got frostbite walking against the wind. I was covered up pretty good. You need goggles even tho they get covered instantly. Stay inside. 1 Quote

Just Jack Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 I must have hit a break in the wind, just spent an hour clearing the driveway, it wasn’t really that bad outside, till about the last 5-10 minutes when the wind started picking up. Quote

Draconator Posted December 24, 2022 Posted December 24, 2022 As I told my daughter... Yes. This IS the type of weather I walked to school while barefoot uphill both ways. Quote
ExiledInIllinois Posted December 24, 2022 Posted December 24, 2022 Why do they have overhead traffic lights on wires? Why not poles? Or... To the left or right of traffic. Come to think about... I can't recall seeing too many traffic lights out here that aren't rigidly supported. They've mainly done away with that style. Quote

Draconator Posted December 24, 2022 Posted December 24, 2022 The snow has drifted to where it's up to our waist at the front door and garage door. Quote
Process Posted December 24, 2022 Posted December 24, 2022 We are getting pummeled in Amherst. Can see half of my driveway in the front of the house. But along the back of the house have a few feet, approaching the furnace exhaust. 1 1 Quote

In Clarence it’s been non-stop all day, likely as it has been by you. It’s really picked up the last hour. I took my dogs out and in some spots had two feet of snow, while other areas I could still see grass. It’s crazy Edited December 24, 2022 by EmotionallyUnstable 1 Quote

Last summer they started putting the lights on poles along main routes. For example, Transit road at the WS/Cheek/Lancaster/Elma border. Looks like state roads. Putting in the blinking yellow left turn arrows too. Edited December 24, 2022 by Wacka 1 Quote

Side of the house can see the grass. 1 Quote
