No, they're mostly over the moon about what a class act he is compared to Josh Allen who told Miami fans to go home. Quote

DCbillsfan Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 Tua is a class act and good dude. I just hate Miami! 2 1 Quote
Irv Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 (edited) After a tough loss and having snowballs thrown at them - that was very classy. And very mature. I thought the kid played great too. If you'd have asked me at the beginning of the season if the kid would be a starter in the league in 2023, I would have laughed at you. I think it's neck-and-neck between him and Geno for most improved this year. Edited December 19, 2022 by Irv 2 Quote

I think he lacks discipline to his training, he's all in on Sundays. Mon-Sat I'm not so sure. He's a big family guy, and I'm not sure he's willing to let that suffer to be a better QB, which isn't necessarily a negative from a moral standpoint. From a NFL franchise standpoint it might be of course. Nothing wrong with having family a priority over football even if it's your current job. After they kept him in the Bills game after his concussion, I hope he may think seriously about finding a different team that doesn't ignore concussions. Bad enough he had that serious hip injury that will no doubt impact his life in his older years, he will possibly develop some brain disorders as well. He is very likeable as a person and I admit I do require opposing NFL players to be good people to even consider liking them. As such if Miami still treats player safety with such disregard, I hope he decides to force a trade to a team that does prioritize player safety. Yes this includes their stadium not providing sufficient shade in dangerously high temperatures to the opposing team players to get an edge. I bet Andrew Luck doesn't regret opting to cash in to enjoy his life with his family as best he can without the constant battering he took. 1 Quote

My only complaint relates to those who want to anoint him a star simply because of his college career. He's a very good QB but I don't think he is "elite" with a "normal" cast of offensive talent around him. Having Hill and Waddle has been the best thing that could have ever happened for him. He kind of reminds me of an Alex Smith type tbh. High draft pick, solid enough player, but never going to carry a team. 2 Quote
msw2112 Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 I want to dislike Tua because he played for Alabama and plays for Miami and has probably been a bit overhyped in his career. But he seems like a class act and good dude, and he has played well this year, including on Saturday. Quote

Then when you have the fastest football player in the game today (Hill) along with the speedster Waddle - the YAC machines start chugging. Quote
GolfandBills Posted December 20, 2022 Posted December 20, 2022 (edited) So he just admitted he had a concussion and they let him back in that game! Which everyone with a brain already knew Edited December 20, 2022 by GolfandBills Quote

In Summary Posted December 20, 2022 Posted December 20, 2022 I watch the interviews and I'm forced to see these players as people. He conducts himself like a pro. He could have been a troublemaker given his treatment by Miami, but he's not taken the bait. Good on him. Now never do I wish him success against the Bills. Quote

I agree, he's not great, just good. He'll always need really good talent around him for the team to succeed. That'll be ok for Miami while he's on his rookie contact, but once he gets paid it'll be a whole lot tougher. He'll never be able to carry a team like Allen & Mahomes can. I love Diggs over anyone on Miami, but could you imagine what Allen's numbers would be if he had Hill, Waddle & Mostert? Damn he would win multiple MVPs & Super Bowls imo. Quote
Buffalo716 Posted December 20, 2022 Posted December 20, 2022 Tua is a class act and I’ve liked him since I saw him in HS unfortunately he went to a rival but he is a great kid … He always takes the highroad and never takes the bait Quote
Peter Posted December 20, 2022 Posted December 20, 2022 Very classy. Tua is a good guy. He withstood a lot of adversity with the Dolphins before this year with their prior coach and some of their fans who wanted Watson and were ready to throw Tua under the bus. Quote
