JohninMinn. Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 (edited) 60 yr.old Bills fan. Crowd influences other than noise disruption: 1) Pass interference calls for the home team. 2) Roughing the passer on home team quarterback. 3) Ball spots especially when close to the first down marker. 4) Holding can be called on every play. Home team gets fewer in the playoffs. My theory is based on human nature. Referees unconsciously favor the home team and their superstars. It's not intentional. Feel free to add or subtract. I've been obsessing about winning the rest and the AFC going thru Orchard Park. Edited December 19, 2022 by JohninMinn. Historical accuracy 2 2 Quote

Those are the playing surface, wind, sun/shade and all the other little things like sleeping in your own bed. I'll take home field with bad weather every time. 1 Quote

Da webster guy Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 Outside of false starts from crowd noise, another major advantage is changing/moving players preSnap is no longer an option. It hurt us vs KC this year, especially in the redzones where it gets deafening. 1 Quote

If they lose its not the end of the world but makes their path to the superbowl a bit harder Edited December 19, 2022 by entropyrules Quote
