Bills Mafia has a well deserved reputation around the league for being good fans who have fun and do great things. Why ruin that by acting like Philadelphia, New England jerk-offs? See that’s Not entirely true Buffalo has plenty of great amazing fans like you said… But there are plenty of #######s… plenty Look how many of our own fans on this site are always angry and complaining about the bills … And we’re in the midst’s of five playoffs in six years There is a huge portion of this fan base that is cynical and angry I’ve seen plenty of snowballs being thrown in the winter games I went to… plenty … Snowball celebrations after touchdowns have always been popular… In fact One of my fathers favorite stories is how He went to a game versus Minnesota in December in the 70s Bills get crushed… for hours , 1000 fans pelt a Vikings fan who was in full regalia The entire game That is as much bills fans as we are giving to the charities… Bills fans have always been wildly passionate For the positive and negative I can tell you that Vikings fan didn’t think we were the nicest funnest fan base Do I think we should be throwing snowballs at opposing players? no Do I think bills fans should be embarrassed ? Hard no Football is for entertainment and the fans were super entertained and nobody was seriously injured Stuff like that is what bills fans are known for… Before social media and giving to charities… It was being the wildest craziest most passionate fans Edited December 19, 2022 by Buffalo716 1 1 Quote

I am not suggesting Bills fans should act like they are at church. I understand football (and all sports) is an outlet to for fun where you can tell the good guy from the bad guys by the uniform they wear. Whether it was done in the past or not doesn't mean it should continue. Throwing snowballs which could injure other fans or players isn't "passionate", its selfish, stupid and more importantly illegal behavior. 1 Quote

If the NFL has no qualms with heat stroke, then why do they with snowballs? I agree with this. While I wouldn’t say, I condone the snowball throwing, I can’t say that I was upset with the sight of it. Some fans had their fun at the start of the game. The refs made their announcement, and from what I could tell the amount of snowballs thrown greatly decreased after that. So I’m good with it all. no harm no foul. 1 Quote
Royale with Cheese Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 I was starting to get pissed because I saw a few snowballs here and there after the announcement was made. I would have lost it if we converted a huge 3rd down or stopped a huge 3rd down only to be negated by a fan throwing a snow ball on the field. 1 Quote
T master Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 Any thing that can injure a player is IGNORANT then who was the major JACK ASS that was throwing snow balls at Josh in the after game interview that ###### needs to be flogged heavily out in the parking lot . It would have been bad enough if one of the dolphins players got hit in the eye lets say but if the wing nut that was throwing snow balls at our QB would have hit him in the eye & lets just say messed up his sight for 3 or 4 weeks that could be catastrophic for the Bills play off run . I guess some people just never grow out of their adolescent stupidity either that or it's just the alcohol & they say pot is bad at least i've never known any one to get AS stupid after a hit or 2 as they do on alcohol . What was the old saying ? Instant A** hole just add alcohol .. It Fits !! 1 Quote

During one break i turned around and see this 20 something kid about 15 rows up packing a snow ball and I point at him, mouthed " mofo , you throw that i am coming for ya"..being 60 he kinda looked at me and was weighing his options. Guy who sit's 2 rows behind about is i am guessing 27. .6"2 and prolly 240.. he was pissed too and he turned round, pointed at the guy..and said" I am coming too brother". Boy made a wise decision and put the snowball down. Edited December 19, 2022 by plenzmd1 1 Quote
Livinginthepast Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 What exactly were the fans in the stands supposed to do with the large amount of snow on their seats? Just sit on it?!! It really didnt look like much snow was removed from seating areas pregame, so if you didnt want to sit on a snow pile or were annoyed at that, I have no problem in people who paid top $ for their seats showing their displeasure with snow balls! In addition, that was sweet Karmic payback for Miami and their broiler heat stadium in September! Maybe the NFL should insist on tenting in Miami in September and then we can talk about snowball protection in Buffalo! 2 Quote

Listen I’m not saying I’m pro throwing snowballs at people or players I’m saying snowball throwing has been going on a long time at the stadium … It certainly wasn’t the first time And embarrassing was not the first word that came to my mind… Because I’ve seen it In the NFL at multiple stadiums The Passion of the Buffalo fan base That made us popular wasn’t always 100% positive image… And this is somebody who bleeds buffalo my entire life… For every passionate nice fan… There’s a Passionate mean one Winning has cured a lot of the bad passionate behavior… But as much as were known for giving to charities and being amazing The same Buffalo fan base Is known for being rowdy and drunk… Opposing Fans have not always been treated kindly at the Ralph or rock pile Like I told the other poster… One of my fathers vivid memories Is Minnesota at Buffalo in the 70s… Bills get steam rolled And the entire game bills fans pelted the lone Viking fan In the section with 1000 snowballs throughout the game There has been rowdy bills fans for 50 years… There’s good and bad and inbetween But the Ralph used to be a place opposing fans didn’t wanna go… And it’s because how they were treated Buffalo fanbase is full of unbridled passion… That is what makes it tough to play here Edited December 19, 2022 by Buffalo716 2 1 Quote
BUFFALOKIE Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 After our first TD I said to my Dad, Only in Buffalo is throwing snowballs at your own players a term of endeerment(sp?), LOL. I loved it. I do understand the opposing POV, but I am pretty sure I would throw snowballs too. I didnt see any player or team targeted. 1 Quote
