What

He's making fun of Miami from our first game, when they threw Tua out there despite being knocked silly.

They called it a neck injury.

I bet we don't see him again until the playoffs.

Get well, Mitch. I hope we win the Suberbowl and then you retire a champ, for your sake.

Why?  Stop with this speculation.

He’s going to be back and I think sooner then later.

I feel bad for Morse. Outside of Josh, Mitch is the unsung hero and MVP of this offense. When he goes down, all hell breaks loose on the O-line and Josh is running for his life. The middle of the field goes dead for us. Every time I see the Quessenberry turnstile or Van Rotten on the field, my nerves take a hit and all the Billsy plays of the last 50 years come rushing into my head.

We gutted this one out and Josh played great, but we need Mitch for the playoffs or all bets are off against a good front 4. Get well soon Mitch!

Concussion protocol doesn’t necessarily mean concussed.

His injury history is not in his favor, but I wouldn’t be so fast to write him off for weeks at a time until they can accurately diagnose and look at him as time progresses.

Plenty of guys are removed into the protocol and play the following week. Mitch Morse isn’t exactly “plenty of guys” in terms of his position and concussion history, but we’ll see

Should have drafted Humphrey instead of Basham

FIFY. Humphrey was a superior IOL to Linderbaum and was available a year earlier at the end of round 2. He’s now one of the best centers in the game, if not the best.

Wasn't it his first year here in the offseason?

It was his first season in Buffalo, right at the start of training camp, IIRC.  So 3-1/3 years ago.

Play him. Concussions are no big deal.

If you ask McDaniel, sure. He caught zero flak for his decision to let Tua back in. People got fired instead of him being questioned. Even now, the first thing out of anyone’s mouth is the NFLPA this or the Union bargained neurologist that. Hell, LeBatard criticized NFL fandom rather than whisper anything about the coaches accountability. It was ultimately up to him, and he lucked out because Tua’s brain didn’t swell.
