Most viewed Pro Football Reference player pages by state (it is not who you think it is for NY)

Annoyed that Josh didn't even get a single state (not even Wyoming)!

For team pages, the Bills won Alaska and Nebraska (WTF?):

How is Peyton Manning still there for most viewed player pages in 2022?

What special significance do the Bills have to Nebraska and Hawaii? Two states withiiut a team of their own. Does that give the Bills a legit claim at the "America's Team" moniker? Or would that be the Bengals?

He's the fifth most viewed which is impressive given how small a market Buffalo is.  Just couldn't pick up a state.

The two most puzzling to me is Kirk Cousins in Nevada (born, raised, and played college ball in Michigan).  Maybe gambling purposes.  Brandin Brooks in Wyoming?  Who looks up an OG stats? Maybe there was a search algorithm error by pfr.

We're the most loyal fanbase not the most numerous.  The Jets are the most popular team of the state and the face of that franchise is still Joe Namath🙄

Joe Namath has one of the most memorable on field moments of all time.  I quote it to my wife quite often.

"I couldn't care less about the team struggling.  I want to kiss you"

Yeah the Bengals presence across a handful of states other than Ohio was shocking.

Little of this makes sense.

  • The Steelers in Oregon, yet Green Bay takes West Virginia .... Pittsburgh is in WV's backyard
  • The Jets take North Dakota ?
  • The Phish in Delaware ?
  • The Bills must viewed in Nebraska ?
  • Lamar winning New Mexico ?
  • Payton Manning ?
  • Offensive lineman showing up anywhere ?

This does not pass the eyeball test for me. More like the eye-roll quiz.

Yet... Like the Jets, Mets, Nets (coincidence they sound the same) do not have a majority of their teams fans in any county in the US. Not one county has a majority of their fans! It's always another team: Giants, Yankees, Knicks...

As a Nebraskan, I have no clue but I'll take it.

I will say that I've been to Hawaii, and I saw more people wearing Bills gear there than any other NFL team's gear. On another note, I just got back from New Zealand, and I wore my Bills hat the whole time there, and I got more "GO BILLS" comments than I ever thought I would....I even met another guy wearing Bills gear in a random cafe there as well. Bills Mafia is all over the Planet!

To be fair he won a SuperBowl and was a national media icon.  Until Josh wins the SuperBowl, like it or not the face our franchise is a former rental car spokesman, bad actor, and a murderer.
