If they had any understanding of science and were at all correct you would already be without snow 1 1 1

Oh, and your insurance rates.... My insurance is up 0% compared to the value of my house. It was originally .4% of my house value and it is still .4% of my house value, the only place it is jumping is along the coast. 1

Last time I was in Miami I was at a conference on the beach. At 6ft above sea level it could quickly erode into a swamp. Ignore the obvious concerns. I couldn’t care less. Miami and its suburbs are located on a broad plain between the Everglades to the west and Biscayne Bay to the east, which extends from Lake Okeechobee southward to Florida Bay. The elevation of the area averages at around 6 ft (1.8 m) above sea level in most neighborhoods, especially near the coast. Disney is situated in the onetime swamp near Orlando. Wow you are truly trying so hard not to be stupid but every thing you wrote is basically what we tell 5 year olds to simplify things. The "swamp" Disney is built on is not at all swamp, it is simply ground that gets wet and stays wet it is not like the everglades. As for Miami it has been 6 ft above sea level for more than 200 years that I can prove, to compare it to a swamp would be similar to calling you a hillbilly, because you like proving your ignorance.

The bulldozers tore through, uprooting trees, and crews tamed what was an alligator- and snake-infested swamp of Central Florida in the late 1960s. This was an old Florida back then, more rugged, wild and so far away from the well-manicured Disney grounds known today. On a boat ride through the canal, Potter and his team brought a gun because snakes hung from the trees, his daughter recounted Miami has been 6 ft above sea level for centuries. They built canals to protect it. So was New Orleans. until Katrine crushed it. Miami is considered the most vulnerable coastal city for rising sea levels. But by all means, invest in a condo in Miami. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/miami-is-the-most-vulnerable-coastal-city-worldwide/ Maybe as a teacher, you should enlighten yourself on your states topography and history. Gators makes it a swamp? Are you mentally challenged? The ground does get wet, it is not a swamp, it is a story Disney sells to dopes who believe Walt would spend all that money just to make it more difficult. I have a 1 mile circular lake in my neighborhood, I don't live in a swamp. My school had snakes and gators before being built, not a swamp. Disney had some swampy land, but it has 47 SQ miles and less than 1 sq mile was swamp.

Now how bout you back up the numbers you just quoted. And I'll ignore "We don't build on swamps" statement. As recently as 3 years ago, I went by several large housing developments getting started near Disney world that required massive grading and drainage systems. How many homes have basements there? 1 square mile is plenty of swamp for me but I doubt it was that small. No shortage of info on this https://www.orlandorocks.com/blog/what-made-walt-disney-decide-to-build-on-swampland-2/ " Orlando was mostly swampland when Walt Disney was actively looking for a place to build Disney World." "So, how was Disney World built on a swamp? Well, it wasn’t, not really. They scooped out material from what was to be the Seven Seas Lagoon, made it into a vast dirt mound, and then built Disney World, the theme park we know today, on the top." Did the storm affect you? My God was that thing evil. I think of the people killed or stranded on top of their flooded property and think, why didn't they leave? But I guess I'd probably be the same way, not wanting to leave the property to fate and hoping to save it.
