Mat68 Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 Allen needs a guy underneath he trusts. Cook and Mckenzie have had moments. Beasley gets open now and allows Allen a quick pass option. I think its sneaky great timing. Beasley this time of year has been beat up and playing on grit as much as ability. Beasley with fresh legs could be lethal. I would take Beasley over on yards and Beasley to score tonight. 3 2 Quote

Baba Booey Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 Guys don’t have time to read through 71 pages, so just asking if Bease has been signed to active roster? Thanks. Quote

Specifically, it’s 90 minutes. i for one would be surprised if he’s not playing. These forecasted conditions seem like the perfect place for a guy with sure hands who can get open in the short/mid range. 1 1 Quote

No point in tipping their hand early though. 2 1 Quote

Catch is, if an otherwise great QB logs just ONE bad quarter per game, that QB is not playing great anymore. Allen went from a historically great stretch to suddenly posting these quarters or entire halves of puzzling regression. There could be SO many legitimate explanations for this regression to the mean, but the fact is that #17 was overcoming all those explanations until suddenly he wasn't. I'm sure he'll learn from and grow because of this adversity, and hopefully the team (and coaching) around him will do the same. even Mahomes has bad quarters and even halves. That’s why he had a lot of games when he has to come back from multi score deficits. 34 minutes ago, stevestojan said: That’s right. johnnychemo Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 I think it's because of the game being flexed. Quote

It's not primarily about his supporting cast, except that maybe Allen feels more pressure to be a hero if we believe he sees his weapons as unreliable. Either way, he fell back into bad habits. He got sloppy, mechanically and cognitively. Hopefully, Beasley helps him regain his zen. Two things: injuries reducing the level of play of the offensive unit and more importantly defensive coaches noticing things and adjusting their defensive game plans to take away the easy stuff Allen and the O were getting. 1 Quote

The reasons for Allen's drop in production are those that you outlined: injuries to Allen and other offensive players - but also include a tough schedule & bad weather. And I don't believe Allen is "refusing" to take what defenses are giving him. At least I've yet to see compelling evidence of this. As for Knox, it appears he is desperately needed to shore up pass & run blocking. When you take an honest look at the Bills offense from top to bottom it's been a case of smoke & mirrors where the elite play of Allen & Diggs has masked a great many deficiencies. It's not surprising that defenses have adjusted to what the Bills actually can do and made it harder for them to keep doing it. 1 Quote

Warriorspikes51 Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 Bills have until 4 PM today to elevate from Practice Squad. Bease has 3 elevations before he needs to be signed to active Roster. John Brown has 1 elevation left. Note: Practice Squad elevations become unlimited for Playoffs. so it’s possible we elevate Brown today and then sign him to 53, while not having to sign Bease to 53 unless we need to win the Patriots game 1 Quote

I know Beasley can dunk. A while back Bills social media put up a clip of Knox and Sweeney playing Horse (spoiler: they were bad) and at one point Beasley walked by, grabbed the ball from one of their misses and casually sunk a 3 pointer on the way through: "WATER!". I believe McKenzie played basketball in HS; he posts off-season clips of himself playing rec league basketball sometimes. So it wouldn't surprise me if they could kick butt against some of the bigger players. But the visual seems hysterically funny. Like picture Spencer Brown trying to get a steal. Or if Beasley threw an elbow, where would it hit? They need to get Tyrone Curtis "Muggsy" Bogues (5'3") to play some basketball with them. Would be a great clip for Buffalo Bills website. Quote
stevestojan Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 Beasley’s wife is an assistant attorney general. That’s all. Just thought that was interesting. 1 2 Quote

She works and protects the public interest.” 1 Quote

The media painted a picture of him poorly and that he wasn't well liked causing division. The douchebags at WGR drummed up a story about it and made it into a story. Funny, I don't see any division in locker room. 1 1 Quote
