stevewin Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 Fri night games at Ritter arena - brings back memories. I was there when they were national champions in '83 and '85. "Gooooaaaaalllliee Sucks! Gooooaaaallllie Sucks!"

I was there when they were national champions in '83 and '85. 341293 Division III national champions, that is. I've been to a lot of games myself but it's hard to get worked up about Cortland, Oswego, Elmira, Babson and the like. Playing all these ECAC teams should be a LOT of fun. It won't be pretty for awhile though. I shudder to think what the final score's going to be in the Cornell game at Lynah.
BRH Posted May 20, 2005 Author Posted May 20, 2005 "Gooooaaaaalllliee Sucks! Gooooaaaallllie Sucks!" 341293 I like it when the entire student section starts jingling keys. Start the bus! Start the bus!
stevewin Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 Hey - don't forget one was technically a Division II championship!

Ned Flanders Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 Alabama-Huntsville? Listen, I'm glad RIT went D-1 (wife is '85 grad...and Rochester was the largest US city without a D-1 program in any sport)...but I just have to wonder how the bejeezus a school in Alabama qualifies to be D-1 in hockey.
