hemma Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 I’ll bet there are some grinding teeth at OBD over the ankle plague. Trainers are probably getting the stink eye. 1 Quote

Is there a common factor with the cleats injured players are using? Not enough give? If the foot is staying planted when reasonable force should cause movement, it could easily lead to ankle and knee injuries. 1 Quote
Big Blitz Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 Haven’t seen or heard anything. But last night had nightmares of Christian Wilkins vs Greg Van Rotten. 1 Quote
BuffaloBill Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 Ugh …. The injury bug has really been frustrating this year. Quote

If you watch the Baldy Breakdown thread - you can see the play in question. Dawkins pancakes John Franklin Meyers as he pulled on Josh’s TD run. Meyers lands on the back of Bates legs injuring the ankle. Less about the guy doing the taping and more about bad luck when the Bills Tackle pulls and flattens a guy. 1 Quote

Gunsgoodtime Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 Before long we will be putting players on the field with crutches and wheelchairs with all the ankle injuries. In some player cases there could be an advantage to that Quote

LABILLBACKER Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 There's gotta be a way to minimize these ankle injuries. Better conditioning, better taping, better cleat selection based on field or conditions? Our OL is bad enough healthy without one of our more reliable guys going down. 1 Quote
