Good teams don't have the room on their roster for Undrafted Pre-Season wonders in garbage time that bad teams like Carolina do. We only ever carry 3 true RB's. Were we supposed to cut Devin Singletary for him? No. Were we going to cut James Cook months after spending a 2nd Round pick on him? No. Were we supposed to cut Zack Moss, who performed just as well, if not better in Pre-Season against better players, and had trade value for a guy like Nyheim Hines? No. With the state of the team and roster as of late, gone are the days of Undrafted Rookies making the roster. And that's a good thing. Get used to these players making other rosters and possibly performing well. Anyone who thought Zack Moss should be on this roster coming into the season should stop drinking the kool-aid. 1 Quote

BuffaloBills1998 Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 Blackshear wouldn’t be able to do ***** behind this line. There’s a reason he didn’t make the final roster. Quote
Royale with Cheese Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 4 carries and 32 yards? That’s a great game? 1 Quote

Roundybout Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 Running backs are a dime a dozen. I don't even remember who the Jets had today. Good for Blackshear but I am not losing sleep over not having him. Quote

He had a pedigree coming out of college that had him selected in the 3rd Round. That made him have some trade value that turned into Nyheim Hines. He also performed just as well as Blackshear against better players in the Pre-Season. 1 Quote
Freddie's Dead Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 Love me some Baa Baa Blackshear.... Quote

Simon Says Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 Panthers ran 46 times and Blackshear had 4 carries. Big deal. 1 Quote

KHAN Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 One downside of being a real contender is that some of the guys you like but can't fit on the roster are better that what other teams have on their 53. Sucks to lose them, especially when you have an injury and would have brought them up. But it's a good problem to have. Quote

ticketssince61 Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 His runs looked pretty nice - good cuts and then exploded through the hole Quote

That doesn't discount the fact that he had more of a reason to make the roster than Blackshear did and had trade value where Blackshear didn't. Quote

Imagine if Hines had that same production. motor-cook-Hines 13-46 3 catches 17 yards. Blackshear didn’t have one 50 yard run to pad his stats. He had mostly 10+ yard plays in his spot duty. And he had a TD. Lately we know how hard those can be to come by 1 Quote
