Yeah, we should also not have paid Josh Allen. I mean, he could get hurt! Serious question, do you think at all before hitting the Submit Reply button? 7 3 Quote
Playoffs? Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 Well… expectations just went down a bit.. so at least I won’t be as p!ssed IF we don’t get the Lombardi this season. This blows. At least Tre is back and maybe can contribute to some coverage sacks. I swear this organization is truly cursed. Quote

NoHuddleKelly12 Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 I would hope that even in an informal “coaching” role for his line brethren, he can help this team still achieve something spectacular this year—but yes, will require all of the other guys to really step up. 2 Quote

HappyDays Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 Two years in a row our most important defensive player was lost for the season on turf on Thanksgiving. Come on man. 1 1 Quote

ytownblofan Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 Does this suck? Absolutely! But get out of here with the "What a waste" or "terrible contract" takes. We were all completely fine with the contract and extremely happy with Von and his production. Injuries happen. Contracts are a calculated risk. It sucks we got burnt by an injury on turf that the NFLPA is demanding gets replaced. But we are still a 9-3 team, with a great shot at making some noise in the post-season. We still have the best QB in the game steering our squad for years to come. It will be ok. 5 3 Quote
Process Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 Is there any cap relief if we cut him after next season? Or we are pretty much stuck with him through 2024? Paying a 35yo coming off an ACL $16M SUCKS. 1 Quote

Not to kick a team when they're down, but.... For a FO that gutted a roster because of "cap hell", this feels a little too familiar. We are estimated $10M over a $220M cap for 2023. $18M of that is a 34 year old DE with a torn ACL that won't play. I think we are in a bit of cap hell, now. 2 1 1 Quote
