4M for a good pass rusher is a bargain.  Ask Justin Houston and Melvin Ingram. The “over the hill” pass rushers that nobody wants are all doing what they’ve always done.  Pressuring the QB.

Pass rush specialist that plays 20-25 snaps a game is a nice gig for 30+ yr old edge rushers.

The Buffalo Bills need to win a Super Bowl that hasn’t changed but the Von Miller injury puts that a little more in doubt now? But hopefully a lesson to some Bills fans that apologize for Sean McDermott all the time. We don’t get those .13 seconds back as Bills fans. Next season may not be as good as last season chances wise for the Super Bowl. Reality the Bills aren’t as good this season as last season. We have no sure handed go to wide receiver when Cole Beasley signed else where then retired. Josh Allen has a bad elbow which is limiting the Bills offense to protect Josh Allen’s injured elbow.

All of this is why you don’t make excuses for failed coaches. Sean McDermott and his coaching staff cost this team a Super Bowl last season over those .13 seconds. I don’t care what our record is now the Buffalo Bills aren’t as good as last season you can see it. No Von Miller and a injured Josh Allen isn’t good. I have already moved on from Sean McDermott era last season. I see failure when I see Sean McDermott coaching in close games. Sean McDermott isn’t a difference maker as a head coach without Josh Allen he would be back to being a assistant coach again with a notebook.

My New York Yankees are the same way without Aaron Judge Aaron Boone is a bench coach or scout. Because Aaron Boone isn’t special as a manager either two mediocre leaders alike with tons of excuses for failure. Sean McDermott and Aaron Boone both bums carried by one elite superstar $53 million dollars a year Josh Allen and $40 million dollars a year Aaron Judge neither with a championship yet because of poor leaders run the two teams. Fire both Sean McDermott and Aaron Boone for being mediocre with tons of excuses why they failed except themselves of course there both bums in my opinion. Go Bills! Go Yankees! Let’s Go Buffalo

If the MRI was read correctly, then Miller has surgery a few weeks prior.

If an ACL takes a year to recover from, time is precious.

If swelling is an issue, you often just can't see these type of tears in an initial MRI.  It doesn't mean any incompetence or malpractice took place.

Also, they went in to do this surgery as soon as it was prudent to do so after swelling receded.  It didn't change his recovery timeline much, if at all.

No, genius.

If the MRI was read correctly, he could've had the surgery sooner.

As it stands, if Miller takes a year to rehab, he's back in Dec. '23. Coming back sooner would be better. Don't you think?????

Hey Einstein... you said he could have had the surgery " a few weeks" earlier.... hasnt even been two weeks since the injury...

Sucks for this year obviously.

Seems like a partial ACL tear, since the knee stability testing and MRI did not show indications of it.  Hopefully that will greatly reduce the recovery timeline and Von can be available for start of 2023.

Obviously the bills are better with von, but this is still an improved d line this year with Shaq and Phillips and Oliver having good years. I think the bills defense will still be dominant. Just really need our back end at full health

Big decision coming for the Bills to make with Von going forward.  They can’t afford to carry that cap hit next year when it looks like he’s going to miss majority of the 2023 season

What do you suggest they do?  How would you avoid carrying the cap hit?  If he is cut, I believe the cap hit goes from $18 mil to $40 mil.

The man wants to be a GM; let's see if he can be an unofficial coach for the next couple months... I'm not kidding. If he's the team player I think he is, he will be advising Rousseau and others on how to scout and play the opposition and how to maximize their talents and minimize their mistakes and how to have the correct championship mindset. I'm not 100% certain but betting (hoping) this happens.

Let's see...

This sucks majorly.  But honestly, in his short time here he did a lot that may have set us up for a run anyway.  He got the 3rd down sack on Mahomes to get us the ball back for the game winning drive and then followed up with pressure to flush Mahomes out leading to the game sealing pick by Taron.  It's one game, but that one game was huge and is a big reason we are currently the 1 seed.  Obviously having him healthy for a run this post season would have been ideal, but having him early on helped us to get to this point and we just need to finish strong and hopefully get home field.

It’s amazing how some people were ecstatic about Miller’s signing are  criticizing it now.

what really worries me is that it seemed that teams were consistently double teaming Miller. That will now free up someone on the opposition and if our other defensive ends (other than Groot on occasion) were not able to produce pressure with 2 people dedicated to Miller, why would they be able to step up now?

I am not in agreement with roasting Beane on the Miller contract but am very disappointed in the two 2nd round defensive ends that seem like busts.

Welp... that friggin sucks.

Can the league please force all these stadiums with that specific turf to change it in the offseason?  It's cost us our 2 best defensive players 2 years in a row right as we're preparing for a playoff run.

Met Life is already replacing their field this offseason. Perhaps you could get Detroit to replace theirs. But Mike Brown cannot afford an extra Diet Coke at lunch, nevertheless a whole new field. The Bengals already took out a grass field because they couldn't afford to maintain it.
