BillsFan619 Posted December 6, 2022 Posted December 6, 2022 (edited) The Bills point differential since 2020 is crazy insane. It's 444 points. The next closest team is the Chiefs at 307 points. That's a 137 point difference between us and them. The sixth highest team, the Packers, didn't even crack 200 points and the eleventh highest team, the Titans, didn't even crack 100 points. During this 45 game span, our offense has scored more points than any other team at 29.3ppg. Our defense has surrendered the least amount of points than any other team at 19.4 ppg. Talk about excellence and consistency (I realize we've still have had ups and downs but 45 games is a big sample size). Pretty awesome to be #1 in both categories over a 45 game span. Some may not see it because they analyze every game, every quarter, and some even analyze every play. That said when you step back and see the forest from the trees, it’s pretty evident that this excellence and consistency shows how great of a coaching staff and team we have. Enjoy the ride, Mafia. Nephilim17 Posted December 6, 2022 Posted December 6, 2022 It's a phenomenal stat and really proves that while our coaching and front office is not perfect, it's been really, really good. 2 2 Quote
Big Turk Posted December 6, 2022 Posted December 6, 2022 For the first time in forever, the Bills no longer lead the NFL in point differential. Cowboys passed us with their 33 point explosion in the 4th quarter against Indy. Cowboys at +127, Bills at +124. 1 Quote

Yeah, I noticed they weren’t the highest point differential for this year currently. Hopefully they can get that back in the next couple weeks. It’s still very impressive to have the highest point differential by such a wide margin since 2020 compared to every other team. Go Bills! Quote
LeGOATski Posted December 6, 2022 Posted December 6, 2022 The Bills have been the standard for team building and an overall system of complimentary football. Hopefully they can add a championship to the resume. 1 Quote

Don’t judge by every 3rd down play call or 5th round draft pick. Step back, our present and future are bright. 1 Quote

Well nothing translates to a championship except having a higher score when the clock hits 0:00 in the Super Bowl, but why ignore everything that isn't precisely that moment? 1 1 1 Quote
boyst Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 A lot of these scores that beat us are not the long passing plays. That's what concerns me. Our secondary has always been strong but we struggle so much with short yardage passes and run stopping. We need to improve the middle of our defense. TL,DR - life is more fun when everything is an Edmunds threads. Quote

Jerome007 Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 IDK why but many good teams have got blown out. The Vikings against the Cowboys are the recent ones. The Packers got blown up on opening day last year, no less, and yet finished with 13 wins. It almost never happen to the Bills. Thankfully! Most of the credit goes to the coaches, for sure. It is an impressive stat. Imagine this board if the Bills got blown out at home! Yet it happens every season to good teams. As do the FLUKE losses. Quote

Go Bills! https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/best-point-differential-by-team-since-2020 This is a great accomplishment but feels somewhat hollow without a SB appearance and/or win. Maybe that changes this year but this type of stuff doesn't move the needle for me and can easily live with the gritty/close wins like KC does a lot because they've actually climbed that mountain.
