Fumble or mis snap is worst in that situation being close to goaline. As well as Vikings understand that formation. Predictable makes things lots easier. Huh? Joked that some will use the Miller injury as a defense. The thing is I'm so high on the Bills, that yes the fact games have been too close of late (or losses) has been a bother. Take a look at Philly destroying Tenn or Dallas vs Minny & that is what I expect from Buffalo. You are right on the fumble. 5 hours ago, Boatdrinks said: Agree , Allen was a raw rookie and you had to be careful not to ruin him. Those plans went awry and he was pressed into service. Peterman had looked good in practice but when things got real he tanked in a hurry. You had two unknowns at QB, so the reasoning was sound. To me that meant a veteran QB and better support for him and people to learn from. This was not a Superbowl contender and the worry with McD was on the offensive side of the ball. Over & done with and we are here now with Allen. I thought they could have accelerated the learning curve and had him doing some things earlier and a better offensive core. But all is good right now. NE has one real quality win vs. Detroit (before they found their mojo/stride) and yes 2 vs. Wilson & the Jets, but others were Pitt, Colts & Browns..... Let's hope better vs. the Jets. Quote

I also said I was concerned about OL blocking (yes primarily Quessenberry as he stood out like a sore thumb) and an inordinate amount of drops. I want as said for the Bills to assert themselves as they did at the end of 2021 and early this year (Miami game notwithstanding). Still in a post Bye funk and want to see Allen back to his old self. We have to dominate every single game, which of course has never been done in the NFL...that's the only thing that will keep him from crying. 1 Quote

I start a thread or two, last one pointing out a concern I had watching the NE game and you get all upset and troll when I post. Yes I want to see the Bills return to the form they showed early in the season (and end of 2021 & the 13-3 2020 season too). Yes unrealistically I saw a team like the 2007 Pats (and some others did too). https://www.espn.com/nfl/team/schedule/_/name/ne/season/2007 Edited December 8, 2022 by Billsfan1972 1 Quote

It was a good win as I said in the other thread. Not a great one. Am hoping for the Bills to roll through their last 5 games (Cincy won't be easy). BTW that's how a fan thinks (be positive, which I am prior to every game). Quote

teef Posted December 8, 2022 Posted December 8, 2022 every win can be analyzed and flaw can be found. that's just the nature of the game. looking for personal goal that you want a team to accomplish isn't worth the time. the only goal over the next month should be to win the game. i don't care if it's by 1 point or 30. Doesn't matter to me at all. this is getting to the point of being petty. 3 Quote

Then 1972 brings up the 2007 Pats as one team that did it even though they lost the Super Bowl. Quote

"Ooh ooh, Teef, did you see how I schooled Billsfan1972?"😝 And I don't come on every week all upset and complaining. The Bills I have said have been off since the bye week. Now when people talk about SB favourites, the Bills are mentioned, but they are no longer the prohibative favouries, which they were after the KC game. Maybe a a good thing, but yes they haven't been "running on all cylinders" and as opposed to Teef, I think it is important they do have a few blowouts before the playoffs. Quote

It's not about "schooling" you. It's to show you again, how incredibly unrealistic you are. The 2007 Pats is considered maybe the most talented team ever assembled. Only 1 of 2 teams in the history of the NFL to go undefeated in the regular season. Yet they struggled against a few bad teams that season and then lost the Super Bowl. So now you shifted the argument from needing to dominate every single game to wanting a few blow outs for the playoffs. Who gives a **** if they are Super Bowl favorites right now. Being #2 is unacceptable or something? Do you have to be Vegas favorites week 1 thru week 18 and never slip or something? Quote

In our losses we have seen some maddening inconsistencies, and we have seen hese same inconsistencies in some of our wins. Like running the football, and taking the underneath stuff. This is one place I really liked what I saw vs the Pats, it was all working and the team was playing well in all phases. I do have the expectation that the BIlls would look sharp in all games this year especially the Jets and Miami... I expected a few losses this year... but its more about that ability to be consistent....The running game has not been so hopefully NE was a sign of things down the stretch As for winning the SB, I can help it I want there to be no doubt all year long.... I have some doubts so that kind of breeds the frustration.... I'm just hoping the stretch run here demonstrates we are ready and we are playing at home for the playoffs Quote
