This probably has everything to do with the fact that they play the Browns this week. The Browns have beaten the Bengals 5 times in a row. In the last game, Burrow was sacked 5 times. They match up well with KC, but they’ll lose some of these final 5 games.

3 games in 12 days is unheard of, especially in the the current nfl

climate with the cba. These guys battled and showed their culture with 3/3 wins. Even the fans that don’t like McD most likely won’t argue about the culture he created. This post sucks.

The Bills play the Bengals soon and are competing with them for playoff seeding. It’s entirely relevant. Moreover, this board has never just been a parochial Bills-only board. It would be a lot more boring if it was.

Days off are just as important as days on.

3 games in 12 days happens all of the time and most weeks of the season. Let’s not exaggerate! Any time that plays three games in a row in which the third game is a Thursday night game has played 3 games in 12 days. Literally.

It's a nice story for the Bengals, and good for them and their fans after being bad for so long. I know we can all relate.

But gtfo of here with bringing the Bills into it and comparing them at all. As if this isnt something our boys would ever do, or havent done already.

Well said.

You're a rabid anti-Billsite and it should be illegal on TBD to look at what other teams do because this is Bills territory!  No other teams allowed, even if they are upcoming opponents.

I wonder if, in a nod to the Superfans with Coach Ditka, people shave their heads and wear long sleeve Bills shirts to work and clap a lot on their way in to emulate McDermott.

Culture like this is the difference between winning teams and Championship teams. We got guys hopping on planes to chill, they got guys bucking down in the most important stretch of the season.

Meanwhile, Bills have not played anywhere near their potential since the bye and the Bengals have gotten better going 6-1 in their last 7 despite missing their top offensive weapon, who is now returning.

Bengals pose every much a threat as the Chiefs, this Monday night game week 17 is going to be very telling. Hope the Bills get their stuff together.

Wow... didn't expect you to go this direction.

First off, the Bills are the current #1 seed, so maybe we shouldn't be crowning the Bengals yet?

Second, read any book by any influential business leader. Time off to rest is absolutely integral to optimal performance. I would imagine this is equally necessary when you're putting your body through war every week.

I'm happy that the Bengals are motivated and putting in extra time. They're also a very young team and might not understand how much extra stress that puts on their bodies. Either way, it's insane to criticize the Bills for not doing the same.

You said it, 3 days off are required by CBA...so what would you prefer the Bills players do? Sit in their houses? Why not go somewhere for a few days? What exactly is your problem?

OP is an Amazon Warehouse manager that still can't understand why his employees are quitting when he tells them they are expected to work 14 hour shifts, 7 days a week with one 5 minute bathroom break. Don't worry...he thinks the answer to everything is to simply work more hours.

Good post. The right caveat to add is most teams don't play three in 12 days on the road, with practices lost to a snowstorm too.

The results speak for themselves. The Bills are #1 in the AFC. I guess the Bengals should be taking advantage of their rest more.

Are you going to be singing your praises when the Bengals lose to the Browns this week?

Who didn't know the Bengals were a legitimate team?  Going to the super bowl was my first clue 🙂

Our Bills will prove on the field who has the dominant roster. I would expect any opponent to try to bring their very best game.

Let them have their extra day in the office. They must think they need it. HA!  Whatever.

Go Bills

I think you guys have watched only one Bengals game this year.

Maybe they should've practiced extra before getting smoked on Halloween by the Browns.

Talk about a massive difference of culture and player commitment.

Now to be clear 1 day a week off is mandated by the CBA on a normal week.  3 days off is mandated after a Thursday game long week.

However, it is up to the players to do with that time as they see fit, for the Bills we got players leaving town, for the Bengals, they are showing up to get better.

Bills played 3 games on the road in 12 days and won them all. They deserve some serious R&R, and time to get healthy. I know what you're trying to say and I respect that but they need a break. Bills will peak in the Super Bowl.

And one of the road games was supposed to be a home game.
