The irony is, it was also the Bengals that faked injuries to slow down Buffalo's K-Gun offense in the AFC Championship game.  That lead to the injury in under two-minutes rule.

Wow...imagine a player and/or coach(es) suspended in the next round of a playoff game for this???

"Clubs and individuals determined to be in violation of this rule will be subject to League discipline 'to include a minimum fine of $350,000 for the club, a minimum fine of $100,000 for the head coach, a minimum fine of $50,000 for assistant coaches, if applicable, and a minimum fine of $50,000 for players," the memo states. "Please be advised that violations of this rule may also result in suspensions of persons involved, and/or the forfeiture of a draft choice(s), including for first offenses. Clubs, club personnel (including head coaches and assistant coaches), and players have been held accountable for their actions this season."

Does this also apply to flopping?  The Bengals one last night was extremely egregious so I can't blame them for needing to put out some kind of statement.

wasnt that the case in the bills game. Got called for block in the back and the D dove

I would say the easiest way to fix this would be any player that goes down with an injury of any sort must sit out the remainder of the quarter. Usually it’s at the half or end of game to stop the clock anyway. This way, anytime it happens, a significant player misses out and evens it out. Only problem with that is, in the event that a backup or scrub happens to do it. Who really cares, they are replaceable anyway. then I guess you can throw in the fines and punishments also.

This is soccer at the highest levels.  It’s why it has zero traction in this country.

Buncha bros running around for hours, flopping to the ground, getting the “cold spray”, jumping back up, scoring zero goals.

Clean this up, NFL

Actually, you couldn’t be more wrong.

The Bills hurry-up offense was not even a thing in the 1988 season.

You know who had a hurry-up that year? The Bengals did. And the purpose for the Bengals using it was to catch defenses with too many men on the field.

That was particularly egregious. I'm surprised the NFL is only issuing a warning and didn't fine Bates and the Bengals for it.

Probably not something spelled out in the CBA that they could punish someone for. Rest assured they will adjust that as they should.

If they had that rule during Cowpokes Superbowl years they would be forever punished.

He would get injured, act like he would never play again and then after one missed play would be back.

Broadcasters at one point were saying they should bet on whether he would return and he did.

The broadcasters never repeated that likely because studio told them not to.
